Best character in TV history

This poll just asks about best played character in TV history and the actor who played them, not about characteristics or whether you like the character.

My personal choice for this poll was Archie Bunker. While offensive and a bigot, the character was so different from Carroll O Connor in real life. I loved "Dallas" and how Hagman played JR Ewing, and thought the Alex Keaton character was a genius play by Michael J Fox. I also loved all three shows, so this was a tough choice for me, but considering all the options, and circumstances involved, I chose Archie because of not only how O Connor played him, but also that he was a revelutionary character in TV history, in spite of his character flaws.

I voted for Archie Bunker among the three choices also.

If given leave to pick my favorite character from all the TV shows I have ever seen, then I would have to say Mrs. Emma Peel from "The Avengers" in the mid-1960's. 😀

you left off my favorite character:

Felix Unger.

You just can't beat it. Tony Randall was genius in that role.

My second fav would be Louie DePalma from taxi. Danny Devito will forever be known as Louie.

i am going to have to say the best tv charecter's are Bo and Luke Duke.
