My choice for this poll is Greg Maddux, and not only because he pitched for my Braves for 11 years. I say this because the man is a master craftsman. Most of the other guys on this list throw 95-100 MPH, and strike out 200 plus batters a season. Maddux never even hits 90, and yet will finish with 300 plus wins, 4 Cy youngs, and probably with a career record of 100 plus games over 500. That is amazing for a guy with his stuff, and he'll end up having a career lasting twenty years. While Ryan won over 300, and struck out 5000 batters, he also threw 100 plus MPH in his heyday, so he had weapons that Greg never did.
I also realized something after I posted the poll, and I know we cant change it. I left someone off the list, and not because he threw a perfect game against my team last week either. Randy Johnson should be on this poll as well, as he has 4 Cy youngs like Greg, and will finish with 4000 plus strikeouts probably. Johnson will be in the Hall of Fame, too, and is still quite a special pitcher at age 40, as last week proved so well.
