Best movie ever

Whenever I ask someone what the best movie ever is, they either say Pulp Fiction or Lawrence of Arabia. I'm wondering what you think is the greater movie.

I realized I didn't read your post question lol...Lawrence of Arabia. It's a classic. Pulp Fiction is more of a Quentin Tarantino great, but not a best ever movie in the world, imo.

My favorite film is neither of these, but if I have to pick one it's Pulp Fiction all the way. That's a real masterpiece.

Lawrence of Arabia is very overrated IMO. Nice photography, but not much substance and the character was a lot more complex and fascinating that was shown in the movie.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

Let me see here. There are so many good movies out there that it's hard to decide. I guess I'll just go with my top three.

Excalibur
So many good lines in this movie but, the best one for me is where Uriyens feels the tremendous power the sword and becomes over come with emotion and Knights Arthur.
Here is a line from en.wikiquote.org from that scene...
Uryens: Rise, King Arthur. [kneeling, as do all the other knights] I am your humble knight...and I swear allegiance to the courage in your veins.
So strong it is, its' source must be Uther Pendragon. I doubt you no more. [kisses Arthur's hands].

Next up is Mad Max: Barry the mechanic. "She sucks nitro! With phase 4 heads, dual over-head cam, 600 horsepower through the wheels!
She's meanness set to music and the bitch is born to run!!"

And lastly, The Hitcher.
John Ryder to Jim Halsey: "Because I cut off his legs... and his arms... and his head... and I'm going to do the same to you."
This never ceases to chill me to the bone no matter how many times I hear it.

There are so many more but, I guess that these are my top picks for now.
BTW, I love Pulp Fiction! Jules and the Boxer were my favorite characters.

Tense, unnerving, beautifully shot, and carried off by a brilliant cast.

The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring

Epic. In every sense of the word.

Rocky IV

My favourite movie of the series. Solid storyline, brilliant soundtrack, brutal bout between Drago and Rocky at the end.

Batman (1989)

Keaton, Nicholson, and that art gallery dance sequence. Brilliant! 😀
