Some are correct; other are slightly off. Others, completely made up, or obsolete.
Let me explain:
Alberto, not Aberto - just as it is John, not Jhon...
Ambrogio, not Ambrosi - and nobody is gonna be name like that, by now.
Ermanno, not Armanno.
Arrigo? Well, uncommon. Alrigo or Aroghetto? Nope. Not in XXI century.
The female names are even funnier.
Agnola? C'mon! It's not Renaissance anymore.
Aida?? ALONZA!? Lonza is a piece of HAM!
Andreanna? Are they daft? Andrea is a male name - and nobody is likely to use it for a female - and even then, it would be Andreina!
Oh, and please... Carmela... Surviving Carmelas are so ashamed of that old-fashioned, traditionally southern name, they usually camouflage it as best as they can!
Cara, Carina, Mela, Melina... but not Carmela anymore!
Point is: the guys who typed that never double checked the names for typos.
Second, they threw in names from Opera plays - seriously, were they thinking self-respecting parents would name their first son "Adelchi"!
Sure, parents can be cruel... but it's like naming your child Algernon or something.
Oh well. 🙂
