Since there is a best NFL QB, why not, "who is the best NBA player of all time?" this is a HARD choice. it isnt that easy. who do i think? a tossup between Jordan and Chamberlain. for now, i will pick Chamberlain. 100 points in a game? that is sick.....

My choice is Magic Johnson. He could play every position on the court and even won the NBA title vs the 76ers playing center in place of the ailing Abdul-Jabbar. To me it wasn't about points, it's more about the ability to produce in a team-oriented environment when it counts most. Jordan comes in a very close second and only because he never showcased the ability to play all positions.

In my mind, there are literally five players who can be called "the best player ever in the NBA" - Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, and the "other" I voted for BILL RUSSELL. He was the foundation of a Celtic dynasty that won 13 championships... and was the single reason Wilt Chamberlain had to go West to win an NBA title. No one ever has been or will be as dominant a force as he was.

Easy as pie .... Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. His drive & his will to win is what sets him apart. He was dominant on both ends of the floor ( offense AND defense ). I also have love for the other guys on this list ( except for Shaq ) , including Bill Russell ... but I just have to also mention Oscar Robertson. He averaged a friggin' triple-double for his career! He should definitely be on this list!

Even though Jordan was a spectacular player, and could definitely be considered the best of all time, I went with Wilt. I chose Wilt because he was an intimidating presence on the court, and, in addition to being a prolific scorer, was a dominating rebounder, and defensive presence as well. While Jordan was an explosive scorer, he didnt grab 15-20 rebounds a game as Wilt often did, simply because he was a different kind of player. Also, Michael wasnt this intimidating presence for opponents near the board the way Wilt was.
It was a very, very tough choice, but, for the reasons above, I went with Wilt, by a hair.
