I realize there is no fair, accurate way to determine who is the best quarterback because those listed have played in different eras. BUT, in YOUR OPINION, who is the better quarterback?

U must be young.......U left out johhny Unitis.

though i still pick joe montana.

2 minutes left in the game....he finds the way to win.

You also left out Brett Farve. Greenbay Quarterback God! Go cheeseheads

The_Baron has a point about Johhny U ... & you can't leave out Joe Montana on this list ... & I LOVE Brett Favre & you could make an argument for him ... but c'mon , give me John Elway. You want to find a way to win in under 2 minutes? Call John Elway.

They are all good in there own respects. I like brady out of those, but you also forgot another one who is good now but has the ability to be great........Mike Vick. Im a HUGE Vick fan.

I forgot about Vic, even though Didn't we forget about that great quarterback for Dallas by the name of Troy Aikmen(sorry if I mispelled hs name wrong)He did lead dallas for many years.

we keep this up we will be naming QB's all day...lol.

Many experts, in studying the whole of NFL history, choose Johnny Unitas. It's a little unfair to place Vick and Culpepper (who, though talented, have yet to deliver anything resembling a championship) alongside the others on the board. Unitas and Elway belong on this list, as do Bart Starr (another Packer great), Len Dawson (Chiefs), Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman (Cowboys) and Steve Young (49ers). All are Super Bowl winners, too. I voted Montana, but if Unitas had been on the list, I wouldn't have.

Umm.. guys? There are actually too many great quarterbacks to name them all.. that's why I put "OTHER" at the bottom. OK?

I just named the ones I did because they are the most recent to memory to most viewers. I also didn't name Fran Tarkenton (Minnesota Vikings) who was/is one of my all-time favs. There's just too many to name them all. So if you like any other QB's just choose 'other'. 🙂

I'm just really surprised no one has chosen Terry Bradshaw yet. The man won 4 superbowls in 6 years.. and get this.. he called his own plays.

Currently Tom Brady

Past Terry Bradshaw

Worst Drew Bledsoe, Dude you couldnt hit sand if you fell off a camel let alone a receiver

Brett Favre all the way. he's played in over 200 consecutive games through injuries, family deaths, drugs, drinking. And he's a 3 time mvp, 2nd all time in touchdown passes and third all time in passing yards

This is my take...

If I choose Dan, this is a popularity contest. Yet if I exclude Marino
it's still a popularity contest. There's too many great ones for me
choose.

(Now if Dan had a few Superbowl rings! But he don't.)

I would not pick Marino for best all around although he indeed is a
great.

IMO, MARINO'S GUN - SECOND TO NONE...

Of the group you listed, I went with Joe Montana.

Tom Brady is the second coming of Montana, but it's still too early in his career to slap the "best ever" tag on him. Still... he's so much fun to watch!

Peyton Manning is good, but he hasn't even made it to the SuperBowl yet... and with the Pats standing in his way, I doubt he ever will. I'm afraid he's going to fall in the "Dan Fouts" class of great QBs who never made the big game.

Dan Marino was a special quarterback, no doubt about it. I'd give him the "Best Quarterback Who Never Won A SuperBowl" tag in a sec, but it'd be a close race between him, Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkington.

Terry Bradshaw was a good quarterback, but he's one of those guys who is almost impossible to divorce from the teams he played on. Would Bradshaw have been as good if he played on a team other than the Steelers? Would the Steelers have been as great without Bradshaw? I really don't know...

As for all the names not mentioned, both past, present and future... we could be debating this well into next century and still not even come close to a concensus.

Hahathna 😱

lets be more specific

are we talking best ever or best in the league right now??? Because if we're talking best ever Manning better not be on that list!! He has to win something first. I have to say Brady is the best in the league. Although my favorite player McNabb will be there in canton someday if he can get a "ring"

For sheer brass balls, you have to give it to Joe Namath.

That's backing up your mouth.....

Q

My dad and uncles go back amd forth on this alot during football season . They are all Giants fans .......except Super Bowl because well we know who the better team closer to Ct is ......no not the Jets . My dad says best ever is Montana .

Oh and I forgot my choice Tom Brady . I've been told I look cute in his Jersey . And Tom well he just IS cute
😛

i'm a 49er fan and i have to say Montana. 4 SuperBowl wins and can come through in the clutch.

but, it is hard to determine who the best ever is. so many great QBs can be named and a strong argument can be made for each of them. i love guys like Elway, Favre, Marino, Manning, Bradshaw, Brady, etc...each of those guys were great in their own right.

it's like saying, who was the best NBA player of all time...hey, there's an idea...

From the list I chose Montana because he won with different players. Bradshaw was great but so was his defense, 'The Steel Curtain'.
Let's see if Brady can survive the changes on the Patriots.
Marino was great but unfortunately never won.

Honorable mentions:
Staubach
Greise
Unitas
Kelly
Stabler
Aikman

I think one that is often overlooked is Earl Morral. People forget it was Earl that led Miami to a undefeated season - not Bob Griese, even though Bob did lead them back to the bowl the following year. I think Earl was probably the best 'backup' quarterback in history and could have easily started for a weaker team.
