Hey everyone, how you doin? 😛
I figure I should get a profile bio going so that you all get an idea of who I am and what I'm about. 🙂
Well for starters my name is Josh and I'm a part of the rapidly growing contingent of Canadians here on TMF. I haven't been a member here for very long and have posted little to this point, but prior to this I used to come here regularly as a guest during a time when guests could access material without being a member, when TMF first started. I am also a member of the Tickle Theater Community and have been a regular member there since 2003.
My Hobbies and Passions
Well the first, big thing people notice or would notice about me if they met me is that I'm quite big. At a height of a little above 6'4", I guess I'm decently tall. As I mentioned before I am Canadian and being Canadian means that I have inherited a set of hobbies that few non-Canadians share and that is a love for beer and hockey. (What can I say, it's in my blood) Above those two, and tickling of course, I love to go camping, play in various sports and enjoy the time with my friends. The sports that I consider amongst my absolute favourites would be volleyball/beach volleyball, soccer and bowling. I love beach volleyball so much to the extent that for the last five years now I have personally coordinated and organized teams to play beach volleyball in a local rec league and have gradually recruited more and more people over that span. I have been an avid gamer for my whole life and a big anime fan for almost 10 years now and I hope to continue to be both for many years to come. I am one year removed from finishing university and have been "full-time" job hunting since that point, without much luck >_<. While I do still currently live at home, I am of the strong belief that I would much rather live on my own when I'm fully prepared to: the last thing I want is near insurmountable debt starting off. Another one of my hobbies, one that ties in to my educational background, is my love for law and the legal systems the world offers. I have always enjoyed reading and interpreting various legislations and cases from all over the world, but particularly focused in Canada and the United States. To that effect I have a college diploma in Police and Public Safety and an Honours Degree in Law, both of which I cherish immensely because it represents the culmination of years of hard work and long nights. I am very thankful to be working as a security officer in a professional hockey arena as I am able to fulfill my passion and love for hockey by being able to watch many games, as well as major shows and concerts. I am very fond of action/comedy and science-fiction movies, my favourite being the Lethal Weapon series, and tolerant of just about every music genre but especially fond of Classic Rock, where Supertramp and The Who stand as my favourites. I have been into tickling for as long as I can remember. Up until recently I had extremely little to no opportunity to exploit my love for the divine art, the only way I could do so was through the internet and the presence of the TMF and TT.
My beliefs
I am the type of person who believes immensely in trust, honor, loyalty and integrity. To that effect, I am very picky with who I associate with, both online and offline. I have to believe, with little to absolutely no doubt, that I can trust someone before I consider them a good and valuable friend and that takes time for me. I don't reveal much about myself in general conversation and I'm a little shy getting started but once that trust is established then I will open up to said friends. One of the greatest assets I feel I have is that I listen to people: listen to what they have to say, about their lives, about their hopes and dreams and about their problems. Depending on if the issue is above my means to assist and even then, I do my absolute best to provide any meaningful words of advice or encouragement to any of my friends who need it. My friends and family mean the world to me and I will always be there for them: what good is looking for trust when you're not willing to give it in return. To any person who doesn't know me, this may seem like banter but to me, trust means everything: it defines me. I want the people who want to know me and be friends with me be able to trust me because to abandon or abuse said trust would be for me to completely disregard and violate the very essence of who I am and what I am about.
Well, considering it's 1:45 AM here I think this isn't too bad for a bio, considering I'm probably forgetting a zillion and one things. It's definitely not as detailed yet concise as PurrBast's or Miss Serendipity's but I hope that this helps anyone who reads this and wants to get to know me better.
Peace and out
