Biker Gangs. How do you feel about them?

Starting in mid 20th century, America, war veterans began buying Harleys, Indians and other domestic brand motor cycles. These men eventually went on to form groups and clubs which evolved into gangs and chapters that spread out over neighboring states. Smaller gangs in other states where dominated and forced to convert as the larger gangs spread out over the U.S. The four major gangs today are the "Hell's Angels, Outlaws, Bandidos and Pagans. Dispite popular ignorance, not all bikers are murderous bullies waiting to pounce on the weak and innocent although it is well known that some have and do. My father was of the 1% and doesn't say much about it. I don't know much about his biker past except that he had his own gang before becoming "affiliated with" as he puts it one of the big 4. To continue protecting my family from potential enemies of my father, I will refrain from using names as I hope anyone else interested in this topic will do. Do you know someone who is/was a biker? Do you think bikers are trouble or do you feel that they generally mind their own business?

I think bikers are smug. I think they put on a really tough front too. But deep inside every biker is a softie who just wants to belong. Thats what I think anyway.

I've known a few bikers in my day, been invited to a clubhouse a few times as well. I will say they treated me quite well, and were friendly people. I think the only trouble you get is when you mess with them.

Yes, it's all a matter of image and wanting to belong.
I have no problem with bikers except I resent being subjected
to the awful noise when they run with no mufflers.

Whats the difference between a Harley and a vacuum cleaner?
A vacuum cleaner has the dirt bag on the inside!

Meow!.............VRRRROOOOOMMMM!

in today's hollywood brother society most bikers are busniess men who are bored. The hollywood brother thinks bikers got a bad name but as bikes become mainstream the hollywood brother sees the image of the tough guy biker changing

As long as they don't go roaring through the streets in the wee hours of the morning and don't smash up the town (I'm not saying all biker gangs d othese things, just the inconsiderate ones), then they are fine by me. As long as you don't harass them, they generally leave you be, from my experience. And, they bring a lot of business to local bars and restaurants in towns they pass through.

I knew a biker. I also think she was a communist or supported communism. Anyways, she was pretty nice, and was always good about paying her rent on time for the appartment complex my father used to own.

She was pretty quiet, kept to herself, and trusted people enough to not mess with her bike. She was also a dyke, not that that matters, but it is a trend I used to see among female bikers.

TickleKiller...

Just by the way you wrote your post, about safety for your family and all I know full well, you surely know what you are talking about.

I do have a friend, in fact he is nearly like a father to me...he was with "Outlaws". But, he does not refer to it as a gang, but as a club. He is also 'retired' as he puts it, and tells stories, the ones he will tell...which are simply that if he got up in the night to take a piss, he would have to carry a gun with him in case someone was there to kill him. Spoke of that, and how he could never go to Mardi Gras, or anything that would drive a crowd, again for safety..and yes, this man was also a Vet..and has gunshot scars, and scars from knives to tell his story.

Previously to meeting him, I admit...I always loathed bikers...thinking of them as burly, gross people without any class. However, as I said..this man is like a father to me..I personally know him, and a few others..out of them, there is only one that fits the stereo-type of what many think of bikers.

Well, now. Interesting replies. I must admit that when I posted this lastnight it didn't get much attention like it has today. I'm not sure why that is and maybe I'm wrong but, I think a lot of people are afraid of bikers and preffer to just dodge the subject all together. Thanks, Currahee. The info I posted on biker origins is based on what my dad has told me and to be honest I wasn't sure I had all of the info just right. Also, there is suposed to be a truce between the Hell's Angels and Outlaws but, at one time they were at war due to a falling out from long ago. I'm not sure what the disagreement was and my dad wont really say either but, I am forbidden to mention his name to anyone. My brother was the first to tell me that when I was a kid and not too long ago my dad comfirmed that that is a wise thing. He still has a great many friends some of which have become Christians but, I wouldn't doubt for a second that they wouldn't be at his side in a heartbeat should anyone give him any trouble. My father now lives a peaceful, country life and has stopped running from Christ which I never thought would happen in a million years. Seriously, I thought his ass was gonna be blazing! Now that that fear has passed my new fear has arrived just as I dreaded it would. My father has become loyal to the Lord again but, just before it happened, I lost faith and am now on the path of darkness. I'm seriously thinking of joining my dad's old "affiliats". He'd beat my ass if he knew about it but, I don't really care anymore. I see nothing but, darkness ahead of me. Maybe this is my destiny...

Whoa....there are actually two definitions of "bikers" today. One is the sterotypical "biker" as defined in the 60's and 70's...and bunch of "Billy Bad Asses" who drive around 24 hours a day raising hell, raping and pillaging, stealing, killing...etc. The second is, as the Brother put it, businessmen that want to release some tensions and ride. In this day and age, they still do exist, but in very minute groups of the "outlaw" personification. Today, "bikers" are a mixed group of individuals who get together for various reasons, depending on their goal. Some meet in a dark garage or cellar to go over their plans. Some meet at homes to go over rallies or fund raising. Some talk about it at corporate meetings. Regardless, "bikers" in today's society are looked at in all different ways, depending on the are you live and the background ideas you have for them.

For me, I build bikes on the side for different individuals. I've built bikes for the "outlaw" type, where I didn't ask where the $$$ came from, nor did I want to know where it came from. I've also built bikes for dentists, lawyers, and one doctor, whom I thought was more "outlaw" than the actual "biker" type. I've also built a bike for a father of 4 teenage daughters, who just wanted a new "feel". My point being...it's an escape for most. Some take the escape as a life. Some take it as a weekend hobby. Some take it as an alternative attitude. They stop by almost every night of the week, drink beer, have responsibilities such as mortgages, car payments, doctor bills, and college tuitions. Many also help the community with fund raisers, holiday support, and "needy children" benefits that always succeed. The way I feel, if they take care of their family matters first and foremost, keep within the boundaries of general society, and respect those who respect them, I see no problem. If it were me, I'd take the side of a biker than a lawyer, doctor, or the like anyday. Things change...people change...and we have to lend an open ear and heart to see if it's truely legitimate. If not, no one would have a chance today. I ride...and I hope people don't see me as an "outlaw", even though my bike might look like one.

Ticklekiller...man, the dark path is your destiny? Here's what you posted in a thread I started.....
"I like your style and would like to join your cause. It's time to clean up the scum on our streets. I too have often thought of becoming a Punisher-like vigilante. I know a lot of hyps around here are going to throw that up to me about how it isn't a christian thing to do etc., etc. but, I'm NOT a meek man. I know I SHOULD be but, I'm not and I doubt I ever will be. I'm not exactly sure what my reasons are for being on this planet but, I've always felt that my primary mission was to fight off the evil in this world. I wish I'd been physicaly injured by ruffians and thugs the way you have as it would make me a more experienced battler. We should start an organization in every country to take our streets back from hoodlums, thugs and dealers! That type of bullying is borderline terrorism and I wont have it anymore. I'm going to start training again. You've inspired me to fight for my home and neighbors. Thank you!"

So why now are you on the dark path? No offence bro...just a question.

Because when it comes right down to it I know longer know who or what I am and I don't think I ever really have. PM me, please. I need your support. I don't know what to do. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Please help me.

is it just the hollywood Brother or is it other guys that find biker babes to be like so totally Hollywood Brother style hot? Let's face it, the hollywood Brother is not sure if it is there openness about there sexuality that is hot, the outfits they wear to tease the Hollywood Brother, or just that they have a tough girl attitude that the Hollywood brother finds sexy. The Hollywood Brother is not sure what it is but the Hollywood Brother will admit that the Hollywood brother would love to let some of these ticklsih biker chicks ride space mountain with the Hollywood Brother all night long!
