Bitter Cold.. Then.. Heavy Rain..

The weather in NY has been brutally cold the last 24 hours. It's currently a balmy 23 degrees. After today, it is supposed to get very wet, with heavy rain, high winds, a few inches of rain expected.. before turning sharply colder for Thanksgiving with a little snow.

The worst of both extremes.. Although, we're probably lucky it's supposed to warm up before the precip comes.. or it would be heavy snow.

I know how you feel. Last Wednesday the high here was in the mid 80's. Overnight the temperature plunged into the mid 30's with rain and a bitter cold wind out of the north which made it feel much colder. The high today was around 40, with rain falling most of the day.

The good news is by Thanksgiving Day we should rebound into the mid 60's (the average for November here) and the mid 70's by Sunday.

We;ve had almost 2 inches of rain the last 24 hours, and now it is supposed to turn very cold tonight. Tomorrow's high in NYC is supposed to be 33, with very high winds. It will probably feel very similar to how it felt this past Sunday.
