Boston Munch on April 4!

The next SNOB (Slightly North of Boston) munch will be on April 4.

The pub is less than a mile away from Crystal Lake Park, and
we'll head there after eating just to hang out and continue
chatting. We did something like this at the New Haven munch
last weekend and it was great!

This Saturday is the day to get out and munch! There's something for
just about every Northeasterner - munch in Boston, and one in NYC,
both on April 4th. It's supposed to be gorgeous weather, so please
join us north of Boston at a fun pub for some food, and then at the
beautiful Crystal Lake Park! We hope to see you there!

Looks like Drew & I might actually make it up for this one. We thought our puppy-sitting duties might interfere. But, with the timing, we should be able to sneak on up there between walkings.

I googled the area to see what it was like...very easy to get to from 3 different exits. Looks like a nice older downtown area for the pub...which has a yummy menu. The park, I wasn't sure about. The satelite view looks like you park in the residential neighborhood and walk through the woods to get down to the lake. But, there's also an open parking area that sits on the upper end of the lake off Broadway before you reach the actual park. Just trying to figure out what to plan on wearing...my Birks or sneakers for hiking. Has anyone been there?

I've never been to a munch, but I'm wondering if I want to go. Maniac's appearance, as well as the outfit he has planned makes me wonder if I should help him hold the wall up.

Trust me you want to go. As both a host and guest of several munches, they are a great way to meet people in a safe low stress environment. Plus with Lee and Mandy are both wonderful hosts and friends. So go. If for some reason you don't enjoy it, it was only a couple hours out of your life.

Drew & I are driving 3 hours. Though we may have to book out after lunch rather than sticking around longer if the forecast remains the same. We'll be playing it by ear...literally since I'll have my scanner with me to monitor things. 😉 Hope to see you there and get to meet you, Helena!
