Bret Hart interested in returning to WWE

According to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (www.F4WOnline.com), WWE Hall Of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart is open to working on-camera as a character in a storyline on WWE television again.

The report claims Hart has had talks with WWE about returning as a weekly character on TV and his interest in a return is partially why WWE went with the screwjob finish in the Undertaker-CM Punk match at the "Breaking Point" pay-per view in Montreal.

Apparently talks began back when Vickie Guerrero left the company, so one would assume if he were to ever agree to a deal, he would be in some kind of non-wrestling role, such as a General Manager.


I hope this is true. There's nothing I'd like to see more. Who wouldn't want to see Bret confront HBK and HHH. It would be a moment that you couldn't miss.

I personally wouldn't want to see that. Because at this point it would boil down to something looking like this...

Bret: You two screwed me out of MY title!

Let's face it...wrestling..isn't what it used to be. I miss the attitude era more than anything. The Rock, Stone cold etc etc. and i wasnt much of a bret hart fan..however...to see him come back as a general manager could be a huge possibilty...especially if he goes to Raw considering they are doing that "guest host" thing every week...idk if i like the idea of that or not..guess it has its good points and bad points just like anything else. I will say this though..unrelated to the Bret Hart topic..but seriously...that lame WWE spinner belt needs to GO...Cena doesnt even have that gangsta gimic anymore and it makes WWE look childish...they need to either bring back the undisputed title or design another regular looking championship..spinner belts are a waste of time.

With everything that the wwe did to him and with everything he's said and done in regards to them , i'm surprised he's actually considering it...but i believe the only reason the wwe is offerring (if they are) is because they're losing ratings fast (why else would they be doing doing the bs guest host thing) and they are looking to use him to bring it back to where it used to be..if only briefly

What makes anyone think he could be adequate to be a GM?

If they are going to bring him back, the suitable point would be during a Canadian tour to max out the crowd cuz you know they will sell out and more for that. Hell, tease the return of edge(canadian superstar returning) and have it be hart but again he is shitty on the mic and prob can't wrestle due to the stroke he had

No. I don't think his mic skills are as horrible as you think. And I'm sure his hatred of HBK and HHH would be enough to carry him if he was given the chance to confront them on TV.

But it would be a more relevant feud to be against McMahon

Yes the issues with him and Michaels are well documented but the main heat is Vince vs Bret
I cant see Bret pulling a Bischoff and appearing and hugging Vince upon his return
