Last night the History channel did a show on the history of punishment and torture. At first I thought it was only accidentally sexy, on the occasions when it was, but they kept promoting the show to follow it the whole time, and that show was on the history and future of sex toys. So now I think they knew exactly what they were doing.
But I digress...
On the show after the punishment one, they reviewed a suit that was invented in the late 90's and then sent back to the drawing board for some reason. It's a body suit covered in contact points and inside the layers of fabric it are a variety of different methods of conveying physical sensations, controlled by remote via the internet. They showed it being demonstrated, and the woman wearing it first twitched her arm, then her stomach convulsed slightly and she half-doubled-over.
Later, talking about it, she said it can convey, among other things, various degrees of pressure, heat, tickling, and a "light, feathery touch," which she mentioned seperately from the tickling sensation.
