Kis, I saw your latest post, so I decided to begin a thread about one of my favorite subjects, the weather.

I know that many forum members are experiencing snow , sleet, ice, and rain now. While we dont have any advisories here, the forecast for the next two days for the NY area, is for a mix of snow and rain, in spite of a beautiful day here today.

How's the weather where you are today?

Pennsylvania Report.

They are calling for 5" to 10" inches in our area.:flatstare::rant:

Sorry to hear that, carl.

They dont seem to have any specific accumulations posted for NYC as of yet. The forecast is for rain and snow tomorrow, with snow tomorrow night, and rain and snow again Thursday. Considering that we had a foot or more of snow here with the last storm, I'm hopeful this one wont be as bad.

They have named this storm "Saturn".

The worse snowfall tomorrow will be below The Mason Dixon Line. You can expect snowfall up the coastline into New England.

"Saturn" Cool name. Maybe it will leave us a "Ring" of snow, lol.

No snow here yet, just wind.

The forecast seems to me for several inches of snow, in parts, between now and Friday. I should be able to get out today, but may be grounded Thurs and Fri.

I think PA is supposed to get more than NY. I saw my old homestead in Lancaster might get 8 inches or so.

I just read an article on NBC.com which stated that DC is supposed to get four to six inches of what they are referring to as "wallpaper paste" snow. (I've never heard of snow referred to in that terms before).

It was brutal here today; high of 71, low of 54, breezy, and partly cloudy.

The latest forecast for NYC is that a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6pm tonight until noon Friday.

Right now its snowing lightly. They said there will be a wintry mix today, which will then become all snow overnight, and fall heavily at times, with accumulations of 2 to 5 inches expected.

It seems that the forecast for NY remains the same, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon tomorrow, for 2 to 5 inches of snow. A light mix is falling now, but its supposed to snow steadily overnight, and then continue until noon tomorrow.

When I awakened this morning about 6am, snow was falling heavily outside my window. They are saying up to 3 inches will fall today inb NYC, supposedly. The walks and roads outside are slippery,.

Wet snow is still falling here, but it doesnt look like much of anything except water is on the ground. They said it should end soon.

Sunny here! We haven't seen sunshine in days... It burnsss....
Currently in the 50s and the high is 56.. Feels like summer. 😛

It has cleared out here, we need to hear from our New England members.

It is cold and raining here in the desert, but the fresh air is so nice. 🙂

I probably should have moved this thread forward instead of starting another one. Sorry about that.

As I said before, NYC is going to have a soaking rain tomorrow, with several inches of snow north of the city, about a foot in upstate NY, and more than that in New England.

I guess NYC should feel happy no snow is coming.

okay... you guys in the upper 47 left the freezer door open again or sumthin'... cut it out. I'm goin in... too cold.

Today was finally more sunny than previous days, but still cold, and very windy. Supposedly, there is a warming trend coming later in the week.

As a dedicated gardener, I pay a lot of attention to the weather... and I have done so for about thirty years. But the general sense I acquired of regular, anticipated seasonal changes has been blown out of the water the last couple years. It's late March, for Christ's sake,.... and I'm still "getting ready" to plant snow peas. This used to work like clockwork, but the radical volatility nowadays makes me too nervous to risk the seed. From a gardening standpoint, the potential for sudden, radical out-of-season shifts is far more destructive than the general notion of global warming - though that's certainly happening, also.

Beautiful clear skies, for a change, with a big full moon outside right now. Current temp in NYC about 38, headed up to a nice high of 50 today. Welcome spring! Its about time!
