Did it show correctly on your 'puters?
Under windows it looked "stunted".

yup, 'stunted' here too (XP).
but still quite nice.

That's nothing to do with being in png format. The picture is distorted by about 50% in height. If you resample it to increase the height by this amount it looks much better.

Png is a much better file format than gif or jpg - especially for artwork. If you try magnifying the image by double see how little it distorts compaired to a jpg.
