Sorry, I don't agree: txt is a fake extension. A very easy solution for AV, server & proxy with restrictions.

i cant delete .txt when i have the file, and i cant change the file name before i download because it wont reckognize the file, so.... i cant watch the clip.

does anybody have the joint file on server as wmv, or these split files as wmv?

To download this clip, do the following in this order:

1. Save all the files in the same folder.
2. Delete the ".txt" portion of each filename.
3. join with Hacha (which is provided by in the first file downloaded).
4. enjoy!

You aren't the only ones with this problem. I also have as well. Remember that we consider being able to view these files a privelage, not a right. We are aware they are free, and effort is required to put them up. We just need some help how to run this.

Here is the situation. The file, taking the first as example is Camille17.wmv.0.txt . Cool. We did as jtsettle said, save it in the HDD in the same folder. Step 1 completed.

jtsettle said to delete the ".txt" portion in step 2. Yet that is already been done when we saved it as in step 1. And then the problem crops up from there. The icons are still in text format, opening it only leads to notepad. No fine, I click on properties, then go to "change". I change it so as to be opened by WMP. No luck.

Tried Quicktime. Wondered what was going on. Went to Windows Task Manager (WTM) and realised from the CPU Usage history, the CPU was being used at 100% for over half an hour. Had no choice but to terminate it via WTM. Been trying the most logical ways to open the file without luck. My attempt to open the file stopped there. Without removing the txt bit on our own, we are stuck at step 2.

Frankly this is the first time I have come across a file that requires conversion from txt to wmp format. Would somebody please tell us how do we delete this txt thing so that we can get to this "Hacha" thingy? I am guessing jtsettle does not use WinXP as his OS, because for me using XP the way files are handled and downloaded are slightly different. Like the two above said, the txt just disappears even though the format is the same and cannot be played on WMP.

Finally found it. Took a decent member from the other forum to show us how. Go to the Folder which you saved the files in, go to top menu bar showing Files, Edit, View, Favourites, Tools, go to Tools, go to "Folder Options...", go to View tab, then go down uncheck the option on "Hide extensions for known file types".
