With the Championship games coming up this weekend, I ask you if the 2001 Rams are like the Cowboys teams of the early '90's. Should the games even be played?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not the world's biggest Rams fan, I'm just curious as to whether anyone really has a shot here. In '99, the Rams overpowered everyone with their potent offense. But this year, you can add the leauges #3 defense to that mix as well. Green Bay was a good team all year, and look what happened. Even if the Rams offense failed to score a single field goal in that game, their defense beat the Packers 21-17.

I would love to see the Eagles in the Super Bowl, but do they really have a chance in hell?

Perhaps with the Super Bowl not being home-field, someone can beat them. But it is a dome, an environment for which the Rams are built. The Steelers, I think, might be able to do it, if they play mistake-free ball. But if the Pats make it, do they have a chance?

This season has been filled with a lot of surprises, the Pats being perhaps the biggest, so what do you think. What would it take for anyone to overcome the Rams?

You have to blitz the rams. There's no doubt about that. I'm not sure Kurt is used to having to dump it off to his outlet receiver, and that's how Straham racked up 4 sacks against them when they played the giants. Their head coach (Rams) needs to cool off, not challenging petty calls that don't make a difference. I've seen at least 2 games this season where they used up there challenges before halftime, and couldn't dispute crucial calls not in their favor later in the game. I really really really (really) hate the rams, so i'm hoping that they lose this weekend, but even if they don't, I hope that they go down in the super bowl! (sorry to all rams fans here, no offense to you guys) Oh, and watch out for Carolina next year!! :cat:

Oh yeah...Carolina

Uh huh...the Buffalo Bills and the fearsome Carolina team are surely destined for greatness next season Scooby!! I'll believe in your team if you'll believe in mine...lol? Q

Hug...and...

A few more defensive players who LIKE to tackle, and another year of reads under the baby QBs wing, and....aww heck,,why kid ourselves...we need HELPPPPP!!!! 😉 Q

Yea

My Cowboys Were The Team Of The 90's!! As Far As The Rams Go.....I Hope They Choke!!! 😎

i don`t think anything can stop the rams.even if their D play like crap they can still rack up the points.the nfl should just give them the title now and save which ever poor afc team that faces them from embarassment.actually....wait until they destoy the eagles, then give them the title....i hate the damn eagles

Oh, PLEASE!

You heard it here first, folks:

:evilha:PHILLY IS GONNA GO ALL THE WAY!!!:evilha:

I said it at the start of the year, (when the Rams eked out an overtime win in Game 1, primarily because the Eagle's back-up center fumbled the 1st snap, leading to a cheap TD :idontwann ) I said it during the year, and now I'm saying it again:

:evilha:NO ONE CAN TAKE THE EAGLES!!!:evilha:

By halftime Sunday, Kurt Warner is gonna be looking for a hole to crawl into. Why? :firedevil TO ESCAPE THE UNHOLY WRATH OF THE PHILADELPHIA DEFENSE!!!

Blimey wake up guys!!

Are you sure you have been watching the same side? we are second from bottom for christs sake! only leicester below us. So what do you think? will John Gregory take over having left Villa? George Graham? will Mcakewen get the job till the end of the season? is Valakari worth his place? is it time to off load the expensive Italians like Ravenelli? let me know what you think guys.

Of course I am assuming you are talking about the original RAMS who have been playing in the same town since 1884 and not some pale imitation who,s players would be crying for" mummy" in a very short space of time if they did not have their helmets and body armour?

I reckon syncronised swimming is more dangerous then THAT kind of football.

isn't it always a good time to unload expensive italians?

Geez, often times you have to because they give you so much darn food :sowrong: . I literally just don't have the stomach for it. Even in New York, though, I can get a good plate of ravenelli for under $10. This is indeed why I will never pay too much for a plate of pasta.

On an entirely different topic altogether, I think the Rams will win the Super Bowl this year, but I'm not so sure it's as easy as others seem to think. The three defenses that they could potentially face are all good, and Pittsburgh's very physical style of play could give them problems. When they won the Super Bowl two years ago, they were almost eliminated by Tampa Bay and their stifling defense. I'm pulling for New England, but I know it's a long shot.

Cowher Power!

The Steelers getting past the Patriots is pretty much a given, and I really am rooting for the Eagles (for once) I wanna see a Pennsylvania Bowl!

Pennsylvania Bowl..........sounds good to me.Any team can be beaten and things happen....that's why I don't bet lol.
As for the body armor, players use the helmets as weapons as often as they can.If anyone else has noticed, there have also been quite a number of face mask calls in the last few weeks.
This is not meant as a slam, but the players here are also "valued" higher than in rugby.Alot of money being spent to have guys down on the sidelines.

It seems Philly's got a better shot than I'd thought before. Kurt Warner is not going to be up to par, even if he does play. Nobody can get a straight answer out of Mike Martz about Warner's condition, but a player, speaking on condition of anonimity, said that Warner looked like he was in a lot of pain during practice. Martz should have pulled Warner and put Jamie Martin in.

He didn't trust Matin to mop up against the Packers, and now the Super Bowl is on the line.

I would love to see a Pennsy Bowl, myself. Remember, quite a few of the past NFC games have gone to the underdog. Minnesota was heavily favored last year and in '98.

E-A-G-L-E-S!!!

Go Eagles.
Don't forget if that Eagles player had just fallen on the ball,
the Eagles would have won that game, but alas.... :-(
Great game thought..
The Eagles must be pressure and when they blitz they must get to
Kurt.
Jim Johnson used his CORNERS to blitz Kurt, not the ususal saftey, totally blew Kurt away.
And one good lick on Kurt and he may be out of the game.
I think the Eagles have a chance, and hey, there would be a Pennsulvania bowl.
🙂
