I've been thinking of learning how to make poser tickling artwork. I mainly want to do shoe loss/stocking foot tickling type series. I've never dabbled in poser before, however, and have no clue how to get started. Does anyone have any idea how to do it? If so, can you point me in the right direction? I don't have any software yet, and don't know what to get. Also, I don't know exactly what I'm getting into, so if you can explain to me the pros and cons of making poser images I'd appreciate it.

Good to hear you want to explore Poser. I've been dabbling with it myself for a couple of years now. I'd be glad to offer some in's and out's on what I have found.

First, Poser is a great toy...um tool to have for doing images. Once you get started it's kind of addicting. I've mostly been a learn as I go type renderer.

Currently there are 2 main versions of Poser that are out...Poser 5 and just recently upgraded Poser 6 which, from what I've heard is considerably more user freindly. I have Poser 5 which works fine for me.

Now, some of the points to consider........

One, You need a good Computer to use it on, one with a fast Pentium proc and alot of memory at least 512Mb (the more the better). I currently have a pentium 3 with 384Mb and it takes a little longer for an image to render. But when I first started I was using a Celeron Processor with 128Mb and needless to say it took a couple of hours just to render a very simple image.

Two, just getting the program is only a small part of the fun. the progarm allows you to create some images, but very basic ones. There are sights where you must also purchse (and some free Downloads) things like "Props", "clothes" and "textures" that will make your images more real. SItes like www.Renderosity.com, and www.Daz3D.com. Many other artists out there have put together clothing such as bra, panties, and panty hose that you could spend weeks playing with the colors and textures.

If you would like to see some of my work and how things have progressed over the past years I have a web site where the images are stored:

http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/mtdomain

the site has been made Private by Smartgroups so you may have to join to see the images.

If you haven't already you can join www.ticklingforum.com there are many other Poser renderers there in the TMF artwork archives that can offer you assistance as well.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Is there anywhere where I can download poser 6? Or do you have to buy it from a store. Also, how much does it cost to get started with this? I'm currently out of work and don't have much money to spend, especially on something I'm not sure I'll be able to pick up on.

I have Poser 6 - i've had a few atempts but find it hard - the options are a bit complex but the main thing i struggle with is keep shoes and clothes on a model when moving their body, is there a technique to stick things together?

Still trapped in the Stone Ages (I use Poser 4 because my machine can't handle anything higher), I'd use CONFORM TO (under the FIGURE menu) to conform a figure (clothing) to your character. If the item is a prop, then I'd SET FIGURE PARENT. But that's in Poser 4... I have no idea if that's how it's done in 5 or 6.

You! When are we gonna see progress on your tickle story, huh? It's been ages since we've seen anything new from you. XD

So as not to derail, I know absolutely NOTHING about Poser...sorry.

I'm pining for further installments of the "Laughing Angels" series myself. The ladies are gorgeous (a real treat to see tickled) and the story thoroughly engrossing. It's been awhile, but I hope for more some day. The quality is worth waiting for.

After looking a bit, the cheapest I was able to find the software was 129.99. A bit too pricy for me, especially since I just want to give it a try to see if I can manage it. Are there any free trial versions available?

Mandrake--

Go to www.daz3d.com, go to software and check out Daz Studio... it's a free program similar to Poser that might be what you're looking for.
