Ross, with the "Tundra Energy Company" message that John Fish had left Ross on Ross's mind, dashed out of bed, and into the shower at 7 am that morning.
Kayley was preparing to leave for school/work.
"My voice and everything are better. I have to go to the office early" Ross said.
"Ah, ha, and I know that look. I suspect that is not the only place you are preparing to go" Kayley said.
"Stop it,. Kayley! Now you are just looking to pick on me, and pick a fight! If I have been conducting any business on RFS Energy, where have I been doing it from? Either this apartment , or RossShell offices. I',m feeling much better, which as my wife should make you happy. I'm going to call Fish. Did you hear me, Kayley Ann? "Call him" No one said I am going to Canada. Now let me please get to the office so that I can make my call. Goodbye!" Ross said.
Kayley was pouting. "If teacher apologizes for her unfair accusation, will you please give her a kiss goodbye?" Kayley asked.
Ross grinned. "Well, as long as you put it that way, then yes. Have a good day, teacher. God you drive me insane" Ross said, kissing Kayley on the lips.
"You drive me insane as well, Market Boy. That is why we make such a good pair" Kayley said, as Ross left.
Ross Ubered to the office, where Vic was. "Good Morning, Vic. Must make an important call in my office. Any other messages, please let the machine take them or tell whoever calls that I will deal with it later" Ross said.
"Of course, Ross" Vic said, as Ross closed the door.
Ross hit John's number on Ross's cell phone.
"Ross! Good Morning! I guess you got my message" John said.
"Morning, John. I certainly did. What's up?" Ross said.
"Two Tundra Energy Deals. One outside of Toronto, one in Anchorage. The Tundra Geologists can go up there and do an evaluation. It is a company with financial problems, so it looks like a steal. Even if we split it four ways, the cost and the potential payback if we get investors and or sell to large companies that might need it, or would convert it to gasoline, the sky is the limit" John said.
"May I call Steve and tell him this?" Ross said.
"Text him and suggest a conference call today around lunchtime our time, 12 or 1 pm Eastern. We have to get on this or someone will snatch it from under RFS" John said.
"Okay. Will get back to you" Ross said.
Ross decided to call Steve.
"Ross, what's up?" John asked.
"Fish just called me. Tundra Energy Company with product in both Alaska and Canada, in trouble. He proposes that RFS Canada buys it, we sell it somewhere, and split the profits four ways. Fish made it sound like he was thinking of more of a commercial type deal of selling to gas stations instead of the straight investor deals we do" Ross said.
Steve sighed. "Okay, conference call, noon Eastern. Tell him that. We will hear him out, but, if you and I dont like it, we do one of two things, either RFS USA takes a smaller piece like 66 Fish 33 Us, or we pass, got it? I'm sure that Mister P will feel the same way I do" Steve said.
"Yes Sir, got it" Ross said.
Ross texted Fish. "You, I and Fish, conference call noon Eastern. We will talk, and figure it out" Ross said.
"Good, talk to you then" Fish texted.
Ross piddled with unimportant work, and then noon came.
The men had their conference call, and Fish laid out his idea.
"John, if we do commercial, or conversion to Gasoline, we are going to have additional costs that will reduce our profit." Steve said.
"Steve, Trust me. This type of deal, we will make enough profit to justify the cost. Who cares if it is not the usual gathering of investors? We can push the deal along faster, as we will not have to wait for hundreds of investors to listen to us, and ante up" John said.
"Okay. Ross and I will listen, but I for one am not committing to anything until we see it all laid out. I'm sure that Mister P will feel the same way. I will call him and tell him to hop on the conference call" Steve said.
"Of course, we all listen in, and if we all do it, we split it four ways. This company is equal four ways. That is how we set it up, and that is how it stays unless one of us wants to get out, sell, or we sell the whole company" John said.
"Fine, get the people involved, and Ross, I and Mister P will listen" Steve said.
"Fine, will keep you posted" John said.
John got off, leaving Ross and Steve on the phone. "Ross, I know that we make a lot of money from that man and the RFS Canada division, but I swear, as the old saying goes, every time I shake that man's hand, I count my fingers when I'm done, if you know what I mean" Steve said.
Ross sighed. "I know, Steve. Let's just hear him out. We dont have to commit to anything"
"Fine" Steve said.
The men got off.
Ross finished his day at work, his mind distracted by this. By 430, he was done.
"Leaving, will be back tomorrow" Ross said.
"Okay, goodnight, Ross" Ashley said.
Ross Ubered home.
When Ross walked in the door, and Kayley saw his look as Ross went to kiss Kayley, she knew something was up.
"Okay. I know when you're upset,, Market Boy. What is it? Spill it or I will get it out of you even if I have to drain you dry" Kayley said.
"Kayley, please! I did not have a good day! Fish proposed what Steve and I think might be a very risky deal involving both Canada and Alaska. Fish made it sound like it is not risky, but as they say, Steve and I dont like it" Ross said.
Kayley sighed. "Okay. You've done things before. Dont let it get to you. Hear Fish and whoever you have to out, and then see. Dont drive yourself crazy until you know" Kayley said.
After a light dinner, Ross made "obligatory love" to Kayley that night.
Ross could not sleep. He went to the kitchen to get an iced tea, and then to the den to look at work.
Ross did the worst thing possible. He signed into his RossC@RFS email.
When Ross did this, Ross predictably saw "trouble"
