Ross landed in Toronto, and took an Uber to the office to meet with John Fish.
"Ross, good to see you. Thanks for coming. I know that you are not feeling great, and pushed yourself to come here. Thus, I changed the presentation. I would like us to do just one thing today, and then you can go home tonight. What we are going to do is to hold a conference call and video presentation for one hundred potential investors for our Canadian oil and gas fields. Whoever signs, signs. You can come back up here again after your next OKC trip, and when you are feeling stronger, it is not a panic" John said.
Ross smiled. "Thanks for the consideration , John" Ross was impressed. The usually hard assed John Fish who Ross did not often get along with, was being very considerate.
The video presentation began, with one hundred potential people present via Zoom. John spoke, and both the foreman from the Canada fields, and the foreman from one of the fields in Anchorage were hooked up. In the end, John found out that two hundred people were actually hooked up, and seventy five committed to sign , which was a very, very good day.
Ross and John went to lunch. Ross then went to the airport, and took a 3 pm flight to JFK, landing at 4, and he was home at 5.
Ross had kept his cell phone in his pocket during the flight from Toronto to JFK.
After kissing Kayley hello, and dropping his suitcase and briefcase in the den, Ross looked at his cell phone, and saw there was trouble. Oh boy was there trouble.
Ross received a text from Alan Hell that the attorney whom Ross knew he would have to retain to handle the MIA oncoming Typhoon, had advised him that George had sent the attorney an all capital letters ranting email saying that "Just for the Hell of it, George would never settle with Ross and or Tim, and that George intended to keep both men tied up in court for , to quote George "Years"
Ross sighed, and at that point he was so fed up and emotionally drained from this fiasco that he was about to do something which Ross C hated to do, admit defeat, and walk away a loser.
The problem was, that Ross feared that the whole mess was far more, and far more serious than Ross giving up a fifteen million dollar company to George.
Ross also did not want to be distracted where he would allow the MIA mess to consume him so that he could not focus on his real day to day work at RossShell, and his responsibilities to RFS Energy, in both Oklahoma City, and Toronto.
One again, Timothy had created a tornado. Ross was becoming furious at Timothy, but Ross also knew that he had to be mindful for his own health. He did not want to "butt heads " with George, and get into what seemed like an unneeded conflict with Timothy as well.
The reality was, that Ross would need to go to OKC within a week or two when his Doctors cleared him to travel, likely for up to four days to do a longer show than usual to make up for his absence while he was recovering from the Botox shot. Ross needed to show up for that, and stay as long as he needed, MIA mess, or no MIA mess. Ross could not lose focus on what his real obligations were to Fritz, Steve, and his investors, over a fifteen million dollar company due to a ranting maniac, that Ross had not caused the trouble on in the first place.
How , would, or could, this MIA mess be resolved? Would it turn into a long, drawn out, uneeded conflict?
That would all be seen.
