It must have been around 1983 when I saw the most terific instance of trapped foot-tickling I ever witnessed. I was watching Candid Camera with Alan Funt and Fanny Farmer (I think). They did a sequence where Fanny stuck her stocking-covered leg through a hole in the hosiery counter of a department store. I think she was wearing dark colored (maybe black) sheer stockings. Her leg stuck straight up in the air beside two or three mannequin legs, all modeling various shades of stockings. As ladies came through the area and stroked the mannequins' legs (to test the feel of the hosiery) they eventually stroked Fanny's leg and she would let out a giggle and wiggle her toes. Of course, this freaked out all the ladies... which is the reason this skit was staged for Candid Camera in the first place. Occasionally Fanny just wiggled her toes and called out to passersby. (I guess there weren't all that many women who just needed to feel the hosiery before they chose a selection.)

The best part was the last person "caught" on camera. It was a middle-aged man who completely fell for the gag. He was probably trying to find some hose for his wife, so he was testing the feel of the stockings on the mannequins legs. When he got to Fanny's leg, she let out her standard giggle and wiggled her toes. He jumped back in surprise and looked around. It didn't take him five seconds to move back to the counter and stroke Fanny's leg again. When she giggled and wiggled her toes he moved his had up to stroke her heel. At first touch her giggle changed from a light hearted "gotcha" giggle to a "oh shit!" laugh. He proceeded to spider tickle the bottom of her foot. Now she was laughing and wiggling for real! This went on for thirty seconds or more - long enough that Alan Funt had to approach the man to tell him they were on Candid Camera.

This television episode really happened, and I would LOVE to get a copy of the show, if anyone has it. Anyone else know anything about this episode?

I remember it VIVIDLY!!😀 Do you remember the intro to the segment? Alan Funt was holding her foot as a demonstration in the studio to tell the story behind the piece. She had nylons on and the whole time they were talking he was stroking her foot. She seemed to be feeling it because she was smiling hard as she was trying to talk, and right before they broke away to the segment described above, he started tickling the hell out of her fott! She started laughing immediately and was squirming all over the place. They only stayed on that shot a few seconds before they went to the above story, but it only got better. I'd love to know where I could get a copy of that!

I also remember watching the show when they did this segment. It was very funny to watch the guy take a quick look around before he started to tickle the bottom of her foot and even funnier when she started to really laugh and he kept on tickling her foot until Alan Funt came up to him and told the guy he was on 'Candid Camera' .

Seen something like that myself. The ... model? actress? whatever wore striped stockings, though, but the scene strikes a huge similarity.

In that candid, some victims reacted by letting out yelps at the wiggling toes, a man started SNIFFING at the fake-mannequin's foot, and a wicked girl actually tickled the sole.

I'll keep my eyes peeled as well.

Thanks for clearing that up! I was in deep shock at the time I saw it. :speechles I was at work and we had a cable TV on in the background. I just happened to catch this act while somebody was trying to have a conversation with me. :redface: I don't have a clue what the conversation was about - I was trying to be cool and still watch the show. :amazed:

I remember it well....

I was a kid when I saw that episode. I was watching with whole family, and I remember I got this weird funny feeling seeing it which in turn made me embarrassed. I was still too young to understand those feelings, but they were strong - I guesse I've been into tickling since before I even knew it!!! LOL
