OK...so this may stretch someone's technical expertise, but here goes. I am running Windows 7 Premium Home Edition, 64 bit browser internet explorer. I was running Java verison 6 with no problem getting into the chat room. A few days ago when I tried to enter the chat room, I had a prompt that I needed Java. I went to the Java site, and downloaded Version 7, Build 45, 32 bit, which was suggested. After installing it, it verified correctly. However, after that I could not get back into the chat room. When I hit enter chat, I received a messge saying "this require Java....click here to get java." I have installed, uninstalled, and repeated this several times, and even had a technician from Oracle fix my computer remotely. They told me that Java version 7 does not run on windows 7 as yet, and they reinstalled version 6. Now, I went to Cabelas.com and hit live chat, and the chat box came up, worked fine, with the Oracle logo on the bottom of the box. Feeling reassured, I tried to enter the chat room here, and got the same error message. I was just in here on 11-18-13 with no difficulty at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Quite frustrating to not be able to enter the chat room to meet with others and friends. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can extend on this one.
