cant get in to the chat room at all says its locked? why?

i miss chatting there but i cant get in

The chat room forum is 'locked' to prevent posting in it, that has nothing to do with entering the chat room.

What exactly happens when you click the enter chat link?

By stalls what do you mean? Do you get a message? Do you get the java logo?

My gut feeling is that you java plug in has gone bad, and need to be replaced. Hit Sun.com, and download and install the newest plug in that matches your system, that should fix it.
