Can't get into chat!

Myr or other techie mods - every time I attempt to get into the chat room it asks me for a chat room password and tells me to go to something like http://DigichatPassord.us.tt which in turn gives me a ZIP file which, when extracted turns into a password.exe file which I'm scared to death to run. Sounds like a virus to me! I've used my regular personal TMF password but it says that's not correct.

In the meantime, I'm stuck. I can't get into the chat room at all. Help!

Just did a fresh install of windows onto a new quad core board for the desktop. On my laptop I get what everyone else gets for the password except the zip file. But when trying this new entry using the Digichat 5, I get a " java.lang.illegalArgumentException:Message corrupted ". Now I have tried several times downloading and removing the java install that came straight from Sun and is the most current.. Any ideas? Anyone.... Bueller, Bueller....Fry....Fry

the site that it wants u to download the zip file DigiChatPassword.us.tt has the zip and it is a virus well it popped up on my avg

Do not download anything.

Do not open a Zip. In fact you shouldn;t even have access to the spot where the address to the possible hack site is, as we removed the chat entry.

Ft Don;t delete anything, this is not a problem on your system

It's a problem on Digichats servers. When it is fixed all will work as it did.

You're not, you're seeing 17-18 people in the TMF forum that LEADS to the chatroom, people who are trying to get in but can't.

Chat room works.. I just popped in. No one was there and I was talking to myself ( and did not get into an argument...lol ) but it does work.

Chatroom seems fixed now. I just popped in there at 345pm. Hopefully it stays up.

The chat provider had a hacker attack. All should be well now.

Just to be on the safe side I ran an AVG scan on my entire hard drive (as I do every night) and didn't find any viruses in spite of going to that hacker site and downloading that password.zip file. I extracted the contents of that file which turned out to be password.exe file - which I did NOT run! I immediately put that exe file into the recycle bin and deleted it. Typical virus...!

Bottom line if you didn't run that exe file, you're safe. If you did, you need to run a virus scan and kill that file and repair any damage it may have caused. Damn hackers... What motivates those jerks?
