Can't play clips

Can nayone help me? I can't play any video clips with Real layer.
It takes 5 minutes to downloard a 30 second clip then freezes then has that end program message. Any ideas? I am hesitant to download updates and myy fedish is secret so I can't tell people why I need it updated. can someome also suggest a non tickling clip in R M format so I can demonstrate how it freezes without giving up my secret.

That happens with any Real Media clips ?. Some realmedia clips, when they aren't completes (they're smaller than what they should be), just freeze after some seconds. Try to test your player with other files/clips in that format. What Version of Real Player you have ?, if you don't know what version you have, only click on help menu and choose "About" option just at bottom.

You can try this test clip (look at the attachment).

P.S.: That clip needs RealOne Player, version 10.5.

You really should update your Real Player, if only for the security updates. However, you might be better off to uninstall it, and after a reboot, install Real Alternative, free at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm

Also, you should fully download Real Media clips to your computer before trying to play them.
