Card Captor Sakura as Kikyo (2nd in series)

I love things that come in sets. My favorite books are multi-volume. My favorite movies come in multiples. And drawing pictures in sets is fun.
Partly for this and partly to make Alex squeal like a fangirl I've decided to build upon what I started here: http://www.tickletheater.com/showthread.php?t=21920 and draw another. Hopefully more will follow.

I didn't make a whole lot of "in progress" pictures though maybe I should have. Ya'll seemed to like those last time. The background was a lot more complicated to make than the figure and it would have been interesting if I had shown all the pieces that went into creating it.

Well anyway...picture. Hope you like it. If you'd like to see more of this then drop a word in. ^_^

Oh yes...I made these wallpaper sized, same as the last one. Though this time they're proportioned correctly so it can be set to stretch or center and it'll look right. =^_^=

This scene of pastoral calm is most refreshing and pleasing... a gentle contrast to the direful, hyper-dramatic atmosphere of your last few pictures. You're capturing Sakura in many moods; you seem to have a real affinity for her. As before (as always), the costuming fits the subject with effortless ease. No small accomplishment... it's the sort of thing I rarely get right. Well done once again!

Another marvelous picture! You have made a great use of photographic material here, which is seamlessly blended together. I particularly like the way the grass was done, and the depth you get towards the sea/lake in the distance (was that a photo or is it done with a program like Bryce ?)

The grass was actually made using a combination of two things. One was a layer of green that I hand painted with splotches of yellowish and brownish. Then I put another layer on top of that which I applied a "fur" filter to (from eyecandy). I skewed it to add the perspective and set the blend mode to "multiply" to show the color variations from the later beneath. I considered finding a photo of grass to use instead but I went with this.

The lake.mountail photo was taken from here http://www.atpm.com/6.07/national-parks/images/grand-teton-mountains.jpg which is a photo.

Normie...I'll take that as a...good sign? ^^

i just have to use this pic as a wallpaper, so bright and cheery, and if she was 3 dimensional, i'd hafta pinch her cheeks. she's so flippin cute, i'd so love to see her soles feathered.

I don't know, I guess I've seen too much of that typical school-girl with magical powers thing. I liked Sailor Moon fine, but things sort of went downhill from there. But then again, alot of these girly shows aren't shoujo anymore.
