As each decade goes by, Television shows and mass media drastically changes as the social desire changes, especially with that of cartoons. Nowadays it's Phineus and Ferb, Adventure Time, etc, but what I miss is the cartoons of the 90's!! You know:

Doug
CatDog
Ren and Stimpy
Animaniacs
Recess
Angry Beavers
Wild Thornberrys
Darkwing Duck
Rescue Rangers
Talespin
Rocko's Modern Life
Rocket Power
Pinky and the Brain
Bobby's World
Rugrats
Ahh! Real Monsters
Freakazoid!
Dexter's Laboratory
Cow and Chicken
Hey Arnold!
Johnny Bravo
Ed Edd and Eddy
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Powerpuff Girls

I'm sure there's plenty I'm missing, but what was your favorite cartoon show of the 90s?

Courage the Cowardly Dog was my favourite. I loved the first generation of Pokemon when I was growing up, as well! Cartoon Network was just a goldmine of the best cartoon television of the decade.

Ren & Stimpy (the first 6 episodes) was my favorite. I loved Powerpuff Girls too.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a blot upon the world of cartooning! 😛

My close friend and I have a theory that cartoons of each decade are very much so linked to the fashionable drugs of that time. In the 90's, lots of people were dropping acid, which is why we ended up with such WEIRD looking cartoons (i.e. rocko's modern life and courage the cowardly dog). Where as this past decade/generation seems much more on pot/weed, hence our big spacey-humor shows such as Spongebob and Adventure Time and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friend's.

Batman TAS
Justice League/Unlimited
Batman Beyond... Pretty much anything Bruce Timm was involved with.
Power Puff Girls
Spiderman Animated
Gargoyles
X-Men
Family Guy

TMNT - Who could forget the tickling scenes.
I'll second anything with Bruce Timm involved.
Rocko's Modern Life
Biker Mice from Mars was 90's right?
Anything Warner Bros. at the time.
Being an animator now, I like going back and seeing what new perspectives I have of those cartoons. A lot of them still hold up.

Speaking of, I saw tonight they put seasons 1 and 2 of Reboot on Netflix. I know exactly how my evening will be spent. 😀

Reboot! Yes! How could I forget? Stiff animation by today's standard, but blew me away back then.

Big '90s Cartoon fan here...

There was a short-lived anime spoof called "Samurai Pizza Cats" that I really enjoyed.

I'm also a big Animaniacs fan. Last year at the Calgary Comic Expo, I got Jess Harnell's (Wakko, lead singer of Rock Sugar) autograph, and had Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche sign my Season 1 DVD of Pinky and the Brain.

I happen to own Spiderman, Xmen, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Recess, Superman, Batman.... damn I could go on forever.

For all of the ones that had official sets, I purchased them. For the other few, I went to Ioffer.com . It's like eBay, but much cheaper, and the quality is kick ass on them, too.

Where to start...😀
TMNT
Tom & Jerry
Dexter's lab
The Flinstones
Johnny Bravo
Scooby Doo

And many more, I was a massive Cartoon Network fan when growing up 😀

Awesome! My favorite 90's shows are Widget the World Watcher, Doug, CatDog, Ren and Stimpy, Animaniacs, Angry Beavers, The Wild Thornberrys, Rocko's Modern Life, Pinky and the Brain, Tiny Toons Adventures, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Rugrats, Dexter's Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, Hey Arnold, Ed Edd n' Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog and the Powerpuff Girls. I would say that I love Widget the World Watcher out of all of them. It was one of the best 90's shows ever! 😀

My husband and I both love all the 90s cartoons and sometimes we watch the ones they have on Netflix [Angry Beavers, Rocko, Hey Arnold]. Cartoons are actually a big part of our life and while we were still long distance, Zac sent me Catdog on DVD...really made me smile! When we were in high school, we used to watch Invader Zim together....ahh, good times!

I really miss The Wild Thornberrys, so wishing they had it on Netflix =/

Biker Mice from Mars, Bananaman, Animaniacs, and The Hurricanes were four of my favourites 😀

Dungeons & Dragons was my favourite cartoon
& Dogtanian
Willy Fogg
& the mysterious cities of gold

Alas I'm old and these are 80's!

Hey Dungeons and Dragons was the best! Although I was disappointed when I re-watched them recently and basically every episode is the same, sure I remembered it with more of a plot.

I'm surprised nobody (I think) mentioned Earthworm Jim.

The odd humor is why I also gravitated towards The Tick. Which also contains one of my favourite lines: "You can't destroy the earth! It's where I keep all my stuff!!!"

How could you leave out Digimon? That show is one of the reasons I decided to major in Computer Science 🙂
