Just curious to see if you woul purchase a product/service simply based on a celebrity endorsement?

It would depend on if the product was something I needed, and was unhappy with the current product I was using. But if it was something I didn't need, no.

Short wonderlings...

What I don't get are celebrity endorsed causes and/or organizations, usu. having nothing to do with the celebrity in question.

Bah!!

Celebrities are the most brain-dead amoung us, yet no one has a problem with their shameless solicitations on behalf on some "charity", usu. the Church of Scientology or sumpin' ridiculous like that.

Look out! Here comes Tom Cruise!! Run...!!

Cheers.😀

With me it works the opposite way.

I buy a product because I like it, and think it is a good value for its cost. But if a celebrity that I detest is hired to endorse it, I cease buying it, and look for an alternative.

Tom Cruise is a 100% cult junkie. In fact he goes around, as a spokes-person for the cult, using his celebrity status to recruit others to join the cult.

Also the reason Cruise broke up with Nicole Kidman was not because of money (as was announced by the "church" spin doctors), but was because Kidman wanted no part of Scientology.

So it was in the interest of the church to seperate them, and now Tom is seen with Penelope Cruz, who too is a full-flegded cult-junkie and eats up what ever they (the church) tells her.

The "church" arranged the divorce between Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman because they wanted Cruise to be with somebody who was "cult friendly".

That is also the same reason that the "church" nullified Tom Cruise's marriage to Mimi Rogers.... Mimi wanted out of the cult.

It doesn't make any difference in the decisions I make. Many of these endorsements are done by celebrities that wouldn't use the product if they had to buy it themselves.

How do you know this?

It was a well-documented fact laid forth by numerous publications, plus Tom Cruise himself has been endorsing the "church" at various events.

What if I told you that George Kennedy was now the official spokesperson for all Phelgm products? Would you run out and buy them.
