In lieu of the recent pictures of the most excellent Chad Pet, I thought a thread where we could all post pictures of his would be in order. I'll get the proceedings going with a favourite of mine (Hopefully it'll work) and here's hoping we get some more soon!

I would REALLY rather that not happen.

I look back on the older work with nothing but distaste for how unskilled I was at earlier times, and prefer to concentrate on newer material.

Thanks!

I'll respect your decision Chad; but just so you know:

I LOVE your earlier work!

Naturally, your skill has grown with time and experience; and being your own worst critic (as most skilled artists are) you hate your older stuff... but must your fans suffer as a result? 😛

Like I said, I respect your decision. It's just that, being relatively new to the tk community, everytime I stumble upon a new Chad-Pet peice to add to my collection, its xmas xD And I feel like I see a bit of what I had missed out on all these years...

Too bad *overly exaggerated and totally hammed up, with the lower lip poked out, up pout*

P.S. that above peice is one of my fav Chad-Pet peices :3 I've always loved how gentle the lers seem, making the lee seem all the more ticklish. I still wonder what the brunett ler is doing in the back <_<

While the artists decision should always be respected, I am forced to disagree, I look back at your older stuff and see a great deal of tallent. Iv followed your work for a while and its always been awesome. U wana see bad look at some of my old stuff some time XD

But anywhoo keep up the great work amigo.

I tend to stay away from my older stuff as well (its laughably bad.) Every once in a while I'll look back way back and consider taking it down only to have someone come out of the blue and fav it, and only it. You know what they say about one man's trash..

Anyways, I've seen your old stuff, and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Sure some of the old Red Bird ones are are dated, but there are a few dozen artists trying to get to that level out there and not making the cut.

Well Chad i do like your old work.
And there is no shame in it. Perfection does not exist. ^^ And some of the oldies still remain in my folder.

Correct, there is no shame. There is, however, distaste. I look back at the older work and say to myself man... what was I thinking?! There are differences in blocking, inking techniques, colour use and just general sloppiness that I can't stand.

Plus it makes a terrible statement about one's life to look back at the past for one's achievements when one could be doing something new. I ain't there yet. 😉

Oh, man! What am I missing?!?

I love the look on the other bound girl! I'm assuming she's next, and her evident dread is the stuff of my evil dreams!

I always thought a perfect tickling image has two things: recently removed clothing (usually shoes and socks) and a second ticklee waiting for his/her turn. These two things would be in all my works, but overkilling the themes would be counterproductive.

this is my first post guys so if ya dont want to heed it ya dont have to 😉 .
i've been a lurker since i got here, so let me start off by saying sorry and thanks to all the posters/uploaders . secondly, chad, everyone who has posted so far loves your old work (including me) and none of the above posters see the things you find distasteful. this to me says that (as in an earlier post) your just being your own worst critic. you got nothing to worry about 😀

Neil Peart once explained that to look backwards to find one's value makes a terrible statement about the condition of one's life. As an artist, especially one who seeks to remain relevant, I can't rely on what I have done or used to do in order to keep someone's attention.

Plus it's good motivation for me to look at an empty field and think, "that needs to be filled up." Since I took a hiatus from this community, the art department has clearly exploded with new and gifted talent and I have a lot of catching up to do. 😀

So Chad Pet is a Rush fan (which I'd suspected from "Beneath, Between & Behind")! Cheers!!!

I've been a fan since 1976, and am seeing them 4th row center at their opening show in Atlanta. Not a huge Snakes & Arrows fan, however...

I really miss Chad's old f/m stuff. Been digging that since 1997.
