Change In Seasons Upon Us In NYC..

It looks like.. fall/winter cold weather season is here.

A Freeze Warning is in effect for early Saturday morning for NYC.

Tonights low is expected to be a frigid.. 31 degrees.

Highs over the next week are not supposed to rise any higher than the low to mid 40s, and on a couple of days.. the high is not expected to even reach 40.

Winter seems to be upon us here, even though it is only mid November. Time to take out the heavy winter clothes.

Any advice on what it's going to be like roughly a month from now?

I'll there with my lady for our anniversary and as a native Californian, I'm used to being able to wear shorts any time of the year. The only other time I've been in NYC was in late October 2011 which actually got snow (it was apparently the coldest on record for 60 years).

It really depends, Strider.

Usual highs for NYC in mid December, are.. anywhere between 35 and 45 degrees, and sometimes lower. There can also be snow, or sleet.

The weather patterns can vary greatly. The weather we are having now., is cold for mid November.

My advice, check the weather patterns on TV for the week before your trip, and you will get a better idea.

I am not looking forward to this winter. Cold, I can take. But industrial quantities of snow, like the kind we got last year, are another thing. I remember driving back upstate from NY last April. The road was clear and dry and then - we literally hit a wall, of snow. It was near-blizzard conditions for the last hour's worth of the trip (which took 2 hours).

Today is windy and very cold with highs in the 30s, and very strong winds. Much of the same is expected tomorrow.

I was in Manhattan today on some appointments, and it was extremely windy, biting cold, and miserable.

Its too cold! I cant warm up. I keep going in the shower to run hot water on myself. BRRRRR!
