Chat Down?

Guess the chat must be down. I was in there, it seemed no one else was talking in main but this one guy. I logged out, and now I cant get back in.

Anyone else having chat problems?

Yeah, I tried with Firefox and IE and the chat webpage just sits there like the room is going to pop up any second, but it doesn't.

Thanks for the reply, Mairead. At first I thought maybe it was my java. Hopefully a mod or admin will see this post, or try logging on, and see that its down, and can help.

It's probably down for everyone. I guess when Myriads or Jeff come online, they'll put it back up. Chat crashes have happened before. We'll just wait it out.

chat room problems

It's down for me too at 8:55 Dallas time, 1/24/08.

Lately Java has bugged me to upgrade to a "new improved" version, but I've resisted remembering what a nightmare that was several months ago. I wonder if the chat room works on the new (latest) version of Java...?

Jeff? Myr? Got any sage words of advice? Shall I upgrade?

Do the Mods check these threads? I just started trying to get onto the chat...and I only got on once. I am logged in....so I'm not sure my link is working properly........Is there a way to contact a tech support person directly?

Yes we check.

Chat is currently up. I see no problems with it.

It could be an issue with the host company, it could be a java issue. Hard to say without more details.I'd suggest downloading a new java applet to see if that helps.
