Chat Down?

It's now about 630pm on Monday evening, and every time I try to enter the chat, I keep getting a message that says:" Digichat server cannot connect to the host". I recall Myriads once telling me that if I get that message, it means the chat is down. Is it down? I keep seeing different people listed in the chat, but yet, keep getting that message. If anyone else has been having this issue, and could post, it would be appreciated.

Please verify that the DigiChatServer is runnig and
that you are using the correct hostname

I am having the same problem. I thought it was just me, or maybe my computer. Now I know it is YOU! Damn you, Mitchell, you broke chat!!

Gee, thanks, lol. The forum was down for some of today, and now, the chat isnt working. I guess the admins are having a problem with it, and are probably working on it. Hopefully, it will come back sometime tonight.

When i tried to get in last night,the message i kept getting was *someone is already logged in under bugman please sign in another another name* Sounds like a Digichat problem to me.

It's likely down. It's either the server, probably, or the chat itself. As I said, the forum was down for several hours earlier today, and the admins put it back up. The likely scenario is that either they are having problems putting the chat back up, or it isnt connecting to the server. I guess we'll just have to wait. We'll see if Myriads or Jeff sees this thread, and can tell us any information.

The only thing I can think of, is that maybe the system registers people if they try to get into the chat. I've seen where people leave the chat or forum, and it keeps them on the board, or shown in the chat, before you open the digichat, for up to an hour, there could be lag.
Since so many of us cant get in, I am guessing it is a general problem. Maybe the admins are working on it, or trying to deal with whatever the problem is. I guess we just have to wait it out, to see what happens.

Ok... Here goes...

I spoke to Myraids.. Digichat is having problems and they have been notified. So the problem is being worked on. I think for those of you who enter chat the normal way it is hit or miss ( mostly miss ) I tried it under a non MOD nick and still cannot get in. Using the MOD door.. same problem.. different error msg. Like I said. I contacted Myraids and he has notified them. All we can do is wait..There is always the Yahoo ALternate site we have

Hey guys, I thought it was computer as well. I go the same message!!
"MAKE SURE DIGICHAT SERVER IS RUNNING" blah blah blah. and I too saw there was like 27 people in there (allegedly)

Yes it's down.

When you get the null pointer error it means that there are issues on the host side that provides us with the room. They are aware and working on things.

I'm glad that Myriads is aware of it, because I was just about to start a new thread. I remember Myriads telling me sometime ago that when that message comes up, it means chat is down, so I'll surf the board. Thanks, boss, hope they get it up sometime tonight.
