My thanks to one and all for the hospitality and greetings shown to me at my latest attempt to participate in the TMF chat room on Saturday Night.
Here is what happened...
Many problems with Opera Browswer.
Many folks (including Myriads) suggested IE or netscape.
I tried netscape. (three times)
I saw "JavaScript Error" near the bottom of my screen.
The error message told me to enter "JavaScript" in the location bar to discern what this problem was.
Stupid me believed it and did just that.
My Netscape screen was then filled with a terribly confusing array of moving images and words which I am not capable of deciphering or assimilating into useful thought.
Having exhausted my patience and physiological and logistical limits, I must quit now and hope that I can return and successfully use the chat room another day.
Step by step instructions would be extremely valuable to post somewhere on the TMF; e.g. "This button controls the X-function, and that button controls the Y-function." and that sort of thing.
I have no idea of what error was caused by my NetScape JavaScript, nor what the error was, as JavaScript doesn't have any numbers or codes that the user can see.
Again, thanks for the encouragement and greetings from all who were there Saturday night
