chat room issues

ok, i have java enabled on my computer and i have never had issues before. but when i try to get into the chat, all i see is a blank, white screen and the java loading "star", then an "X" where the connect button usually is. i don't even see the normal text when you begin to get to the chatroom. is anyone else experiencing such issues?

thats the problem i'm having now, did you do something to fix it or was its a server problem?

I can not get in either. As far as I know its a server issue. I think we just have to be patient and wait. 😀

don't worry you're not alone with these issues, I haven't been able to get in either. Hopefully someone will address this issue soon...

Its down on the server side again. Help ticket has been put in.

The company that runs the room has made some major server changes and possibly upgraded the rooms code.

I'm going to have to rebuild a lot of code on our side on the forum to make the room work again. I hope to do that this evening. Bear with me as I wander through it.

I hope to get it up fairly quickly, by 11PM EST at least.

Sheesh Myraids...

the least they could have done is just uploaded you a patch to make it eaiser. Maybe folks would like to used the yahoo chat till it is fixed. If you need any hhelp let me know.

They have provided a patch.

But becaused the room has been customised for security I need to edit the patch before I can post it. Lots of little java and applet lines to change bits of data in.

Not hard, just tedious.

Then I think I need to port over all the icons, emoticons, banners and such.

I also think I'll need to rebuild all mod accounts too.

So it's a lot of little work.

As I said I hope to have the room back up by this eve at 11. It may not have all the icons and emotes but it will function. I hope.
