Just curious,

Since one has to be logged in to the TMF to use the chatroom, does the "current active user" list on the bottom of the forums page also reflect who is in the chatroom?

Not always. The listing shows all those signed in to the forum in general (IF they aren't ghosting). While those who are in chat are likely listed there, they don't have to be. Nor is everyone on the forum in chat.
