chat room tons of problems

Is it just me, or is anyone else having a real hard time getting the chat room to work?

I think I might be the update to Java. Ever since, I get all kinds of errors. Sometimes the chat room loads with no users visible and no text visible. Sometimes it says the server is incorrect. Sometimes it loads and there are no scroll bars. When I click settings and try to modify the sound settings, there's no drop down menus there anymore letting you choose sounds, just a blank line. It's bizarre. Are the moderators aware of these issues?

Does this happen immediately upon login? Other users have reported (and I've confirmed) that it takes an enormous amount of time for the chatroom to load when you first open it. It will appear, but not feature any users nor any text, just the blank chat layout. Sometimes you just have to let it sit for a few minutes (or ten or more) before it starts to work. Java is slow like that.

If you really think it is the update to Java you can try downgrading. Check the Java help thread for instructions on removing your current and old versions and installing an older version of Java than the newest.

working fine currently, it had been slower than usual to load yesterday but it seems ok now.

About 3 days ago I had a bit of trouble getting in. The room only partially loaded showing no users or text but after about an hour it was working fine again and has ever since. I think once in awhile the servers go on the blink for a bit but usually come back if one is patient.

As of late I seem to periodically have the same problem that shytickler initially describes. It does seem to fix itself after a few hours but it is a bit frustrating. 🙁

Why am I all of a sudden?

Listen I was in the chatroom earlier without a problem.
Now that I'm back I'm all of a sudden being asked for a DigiChat password to not only get the chatrooms list of names to come up, but even to enter it.
So I'm just curious if anyone else is having this diffaculty.

Hey Gang,
For what its worth to alot of you as of 8:24PM there is still no getting into the chatroom without providing a password for the digichat.
Honestly can't anyone figure this out please? Thank you.
