So, has anyone done anything wacky at work (or college or university) to help raise donations for it?
Oh, just to fill the majority of us in (people from outside Britain), Children in need is a British Charity appeal set out to assist other charities working with Children. And it's very successful, raising about £20 million every year! 😀
So, it's sort of a "British Tradition" to raise funds for it and a lot of work places and schools do a lot to raise money for it. 😛
At the place I work, there was a "C.I.N Poker Tourney" with a £20 buy-in and a prize of a weekend for two in the lake district (courtesy of the company) to who ever came first, and wine for second and third, we raised £400 from that. Then there was a Company party, raising about £1100 from drinks, food and donations. Those being the two main things, we have done lil things such as "Crazy Wigs" where we all wear extremely weird wigs! XD
It's quite fun to do really, and for a good cause! ^_^
