OMG I'll second that and not just because the technology will make that swap useless within a year or so 🙁

This is why kids should not be allowed on the Internet unsupervised (but of course it's hard to really control who they email...)

Any doctor that would allow this (hopefully not knowing what the CHILD would be using the money for...) should obviously be shot. And now I see, reading further, it sounds even more sinister --

I think this last is the creepiest paragraph, aside from the "online broker" agreeing to take a 17 year old's kidney :

After learning what Zheng did, his mother went straight to the police, who so far have been unable to track down the organ broker, the reports said.

However, police have learned that the hospital where Zheng had his kidney taken out "was not qualified to perform organ transplants," the Shanghai Daily report said. "The hospital claimed they had no idea about Zheng's surgery because the department that did the surgery had been contracted to a Fujian businessman."

I hope they catch & hang (or really, dismember... why let their organs go to waste, after all? 😀 ) these insanely greedy bastards, if this horror actually happened... but with all the child abuse (slavery, female castration, etc etc ) this would not surprise me.
