CHOCOLATE MATHEMATICS

This is cool chocolate math!! DON'T CHEAT BY
SCROLLING DOWN FIRST! It takes less than a minute.......

Work this out as you read. Be sure you don't read
the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not
one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week
that you would like to have chocolate(try for more
than once but less than 10).

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold).

3. Add 5 (for Sunday).

4. Multiply it by 50 - I'll wait while you get the
calculator................

5. If you have already had your birthday this year
add 1752.... If you
haven't, add 1751 ..........

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were
born.

You should have a three digit number .....

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are ...........

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it IS!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2002) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO
SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

I picked 2 and got 226, and I'M 26! Nice, JPie! 😀

P.S. I'm a math major, but I've never heard of this--go figure! 😛

Shite. How'd you do that, ya trickster?

"Evil, I tells ya, eeeeeeeevil!!"

Cheers.😀

Can't be sure, but I did watch ER in a bar last night. The sound was off but I think I got most of it...

Cheers.😀

That was so cool, I don't how it works, but it's cool! 😛

Here's how it works:

In step 1, you choose a positive whole number (the number of times per week you would like to have chocolate). Call it n.

In step 2, you double it. Result: 2n

In step 3, you add 5. Result: 2n+5

In step 4, you multiply by 50. Result: 100n+250

In step 5, if you've had your birthday already this year, you add 1752. Result: 100n+2002

In step 6, you subtract your birth year (4 digits). Let b represent your birth year. Final result: 100n+(2002-b)

Note that 2002-b is your current age, for the case where you've already had your birthday this year.

If b >= 1903 (that is, you are 99 years old or less), then 2002-b, your age, appears in the tens and units columns. To its left, in the hundreds column, appears n.

Note: This will work for n larger than 9. For n=567 and a person born in 1981, the result will be 56721.

The algebra for somebody who has not yet had his or her birthday this year works simililarly; for such a person, final result is 100n+(2001-b), and current age is 2001-b.

That was pretty cool, where did you find it? MJ....Henry

Actually I cannot claim I created this or found it, a friend simply passed it on to me.
