She lay in a coma for twenty eight years..that's almost as long as i've been married..and longer than some of you have been on this earth..she died last week..imagine..all the things she missed..as she lay there in her twilight world..her soul hovering..waiting..her husband Claus was tried twice for attempted murder..the first time he was found guilty..the second time he was acquitted...did he or didn't he...

Evidence from the first trial was called into significant doubt by Alan Dershowitz's distinguished panel of experts, not the least of which was the tainted syringe. Sunny's state of mind at the time also made a compelling case for self-infliction. I personally believe there was more than enough reasonable doubt.

Her family certainly didn't, though, and always felt Klaus did it. And now, that point is moot.

28 years in a vegetative state, though, is enough to give anyone pause. It's also more than enough reason to have a living will, with clear instructions on whether or not you're to be kept "alive" in such a condition. For me, thanks very much, please pull the plug.
