Has anyone else here had the problem with certain stores (usualy the ones that turn out to have the lamest tickle clips on the net), when you visit them they freeze up and take over your PC and nearly crash it? On several occations, ive had to pull the plug on my cable modem for it to unfreeze and give me my PC back..and sometimes have had to pull the plug on the whole PC! Its been goin on well over a year for me...a few decent looking previews have not got my business due to this also...anyone else had this problem??

Yes, I've come across that problem on a few stores. It usually locks up my browser so that I have to close it down. I think the problem is less with clips4sale than with the individual store owners who can modify their store with all kinds of html code and add ons for links and such. If the store owner doesn't get the coding right or puts in "circle jerk" coding then that might account for the problems that you mentioned.

Clips4sale is standing on a flash platform. Sometimes when I visit other sites that have a flash skeleton my browser freezes. Specially if you are using Windows Vista, and are using an older version of flash, you maybe having compatibility problems. I just upgraded to the lates version of flash and my problems have decreased a lot. Try upgrading your flash to the latest version.
Have you tried viewing that store with a different browser? Have you updated your browser?
Email the store owner with the problem. I bet you that the store looks fine to him!

if they leave no e mail address, I don't buy from them....

As a clips store owner, I agree with the reason that was stated earlier, that some stores just put too much crap (html) on their store page. When I signed up and added my store, there was a list of do's and dont's, too avoid some of that, but I think alot has been overlooked, probably because of how much money the SITE is making off the store owners.
You could probably contact the site, with the store number and let them know of the difficulties. I know any concerns I have had with the company, have always been promptly, and efficiently taken care of.

Clips 4 Sale Issues
The problem is in how their site is programmed. It uses up all the virtual memory and other resources on your PC. It helps if you don't view too many images at a time. So viewing one store at a time and only loading 25 pics per screen will help.

There are actually very few stores where this problem arises, but there have been threads about it once in a while. There was one store, I think somewhere in Eastern Europe, where this problem was discussed. I think he took it down and opened again at a later date, but clearly it had to do with local conditions of the store owner.

I'll add to this that clips4sale has been having some issues with their servers lately, and have been doing some upgrades almost every day this week. i know that doesn't speak for long term issues with the store's loading, but it could be at least a little bit of the problem.
The store pages were definately not meant to handle a lot of animation or a ton of extra's. They are meant to be barebones, and defiantely load better when they are.
