Comic Book Q

DOesn anyone have any suggestions as to where I would be able to get old comic books appraised? I know the guys who own the local comic book shops, and they would, you know, steal from their mothers, so Im leery about going to them

Give me an idea of a few titles and issues you have, and in general what time period the books came from as a whole (60's 80's? etc)

That will be a start.

Myriads are you like "Comic book guy" in the Simpsons? Ya know, the fat guy who's always bustings Bart's balls and going on about his "rare copy of Mary Worth?"

Nope. Not even close. I fell into this job while I was making other plans and have stayed (13 years in a week, I've been doing it). I prefer discussing anything but comics with my customers, and while my boss does look like the comic book guy, I'm far thinner and beardless.

Ok, I have a Green Lantern/Green Arrow, No, 113 Feb., Superman/Green Lantern, No. 6, Feb., Batman Comic, No. 303, Sept., Mad Magazine w/ Star Wars cover, 1978 Jan., They're all from the late 70's. I also have Star Wars trading cards from the same time.

As we covered in the chat room, a pile of good reading but not much in the way of value. A good pile to give to a younger reader to enjoy.
