Coming out of my shell (so to speak)

Hello all. I've been told that I should start taking a more active approach to the forums in general by my good friend LonelyKimiko. That and seeing as how I won't be posting any tickling-related art any time soon, this seems like a reasonable way to ensure that people know I'm still alive.

So, a little about myself. I'm Snail Shell. I'm 23, a guy and currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I just got my Honours degree in Biology. My professional Mixed Martial Arts (cage fighting) record is currently 1 - 0. The reason why I'm not posting any artwork for tickling soon is because I'm rounding-out my portfolio in an attempt to get hired as a tattoo artist, which has a lot to do with the Biology degree I worked so hard for. :weird: I'm currently working full/part time at a local Beer Store. Simply put, I'm a guy who likes to draw, have fun, tickle, fight, train and occasionally sleep and eat who's trying to find a way to draw for a living.

Cage fighting eh? I've always been interested in that. I've studied Shotokan Karate since I was about 8, had to cut my training short at 18 because I could no longer afford the classes, but I still weight lift and practice my Katas whenever I find the time...

LOL every time I mention cage fighting my mom freaks out; so I figured I'd start with something more tame like boxing, then ease myself into it... I've never experienced anything that brutal though, most of my sparring back in the dojo was touch fighting, so one never actually got hit...

...there was this one time tho, where I foolishly challanged a Tae Kwon Do student to an unmoderated fight; got my ass kicked pretty bad too lol... that prolly makes my record 0-1 😛

I never lost a tickle fight tho lol

I'm interested in tattoos too; but I like Henna, I'm tryin to find a local artist that does really elaborate designs, like the ones you find on the New Zealand warriors... their artwork is amazing 😀

Cage fightings a trip man, but if you want to get into it seriously, you have to work up a ground game too, not just striking. I've been wrestling since junior high and studying submissions for forever. That's essentially how I won. The guy I was against had no ground skills. I got him down and submitted him. Don't get me wrong, I got punched in the face a couple times to do it. :no: If you want to show me some good striking techinques, I can help you with a ground game. 🙂

And if you pick up just about any tattoo magazine, you should find a really good artist in your area. Just make sure they have their health certification and take the time to make a good stencil and you should be set. It doesn't hurt that much. Trust me. :happy:

lately, i've been doing the opposite. been spending less time chatting so i can get some major projects in my life done. but mostly, i've been planning and writing tickling stories.

the next one i'm gonna come out with a Buffy the vampire slayer story. trying to make it just like a real episode, and make it as accurate as possible.

That certainly works. I find when you get into a series, writing dialogue and scenarios for the characters becomes really easy. At least, that's what they tell me about my TT stories and comics.
