What ever happened to being polite and customer care,the old maxim in the uk (the customer is always right)not any more he/she is second to thier systems,which don't work.Sorry is the forgotten word.

Recently i have had problems with delivery six weeks late, other items delivered and found defective.

Each time people have quoted me their procedures and systems, i don't care about that i want good service and reasonable quality,do you find it the same.
 
Sorry to hear about your bad customer service experience. I've blogged about crappy Customer Service recently, and the only way unfortunately I got results was by raising a stink about it. You figure with the economy the way it is, that these people would want to do a good job. I guess the fault is on the company for letting those actions slide...
 
that's not common sense, that's common courtesy

common sense deals with practicalities and conventions, not niceties and respect from punctuality

this is conventional wisdom being passed

services may fuck up and sometimes, mishandling may happen sure, there's right to be upset, but mistakes sometimes do happen, and even i feel i've jumped to conclusions too quickly at times

instead of just getting upset at something, take action because everybody already feels the same, and everybody's just waiting for someone else to take the first step, and figure out what needs to get done to make things happen more properly

there is a thing called corrective action, some might remember this from 4856s

i've had issues with bad service and i handled it well via such things as mentioning of the triple b, etc
 
Common sense and common courtesy are not all that common anymore. I agree with oriyaborealis that people need to step up and take action. First and foremost have your own ducks in a row and make sure that you are not partially at fault as well. If you are sure that you are honestly in the right then contact your local Better Business Bureau (BBB) or whatever the British equivalent happens to be. Let other people know; vote with your wallet. Word of mouth is a pernicious foe especially when it is negative.
 
So, I'm not the only one who is upset that service is dead, that "sorry" is the new "up yours, buddy", and that multinational corporations are becoming more and more like the government bureaucracies they love to rail against!

I know what you mean.I ordered a pizza at 10:30am and the guy comes knocks on the door twice and he left.We call back and they say they can't contact him because they don't have his new number.The pizza finally arrives at 1pm and the guy says,''I was there for more then 30 seconds.Just be there at the door next time.'' My mother was outraged and called them back to report him.

Delivery people usually call you to make sure you know they are coming, so you can be ready to pay them at the door. They do this because they have to deliver for other people, and waiting for one person holds up the orders of other people.
