computer monitor question

my 17 inch nec crt monitor went out on the hollywood brother this morning. this afternoon the hollywood brother got himself a 21 inch wide screen acer lcd monitor for his hollywood brother computer. the color is much better than the old monitor and the hollywood brother thinks he likes the size but the hollywood brother has two questions. the first one is will this affect the hollywood brother eyesight by being close to a bigger monitor than the hollywood brother is used to. secondly since it apears that this acer is a widescreen is there a easy way to make websites not look like they are somewhat streched out?

First, you can always position the monitor a little further away. It won't really affect your eyesight unless you stare at your monitor for hours a day.

Second, this depends on your OS. Right-click on your desktop and go to properties... I have Vista, so instead of that is "Personalize". There should be a tab for resolution or screen size. Look around in that menu, it won't take long to find. Under Vista, it would be Personalize>Display Settings. Hope that helps. 🙂
