Congrats to the Villanova Wildcats!

The University of Villanova Wildcats won the championship game last night against the North Carolina Tar Heels in Houston, Texas . In the news, it was said the last time they won was in 1985. I was thirteen at the time.

One of the greatest basketball games I've ever watched! I remember when Villanova won in 1985 as well...which was considered one of the greatest upsets in sports history.

As a Duke fan I am thrilled that Villanova won the game, but that game's ending was jaw dropping to say the least. Still can't believe that ending after the way the Tar Heels tied the game up with an amazing 3 pointer just a great game from start to finish

Defiantly one of the greatest games I've ever witnessed. The shot that tied the game with 4.7 Seconds left, sadly won't be remembered. That was an amazing shot as well.

And Luther Vandross finishing it all off with his song, it just doesn't get any better than that.

Also, 2016 hasn't been a good year for Carolina Teams.

Clemson lost in the College Football Championship, The Panthers lost Superbowl 50, and now this.

It is college basketball.
The players don't get paid, but they do get many perks.
Their coach gets paid very, very well. Far better than the faculty at Villanova.

Congratulations to the Wildcats.

As most who know me are aware, I watch Jim Gardner's newscasts from Philadelphia online pretty much every night.

Last night, during the 6pm news, they spent the entire newscast talking strictly about the Wildcats. They discussed the game, the players, cheerleaders, coach, the city's reaction, the school's reaction, and the celebration.

I'm happy for the Wildcats, Villanova University, and the city of Philadelphia.

I am a Carolina fan, but I'll extend a sincere congratulations to Villanova and their fans. But let's not forget why that last shot was necessary. That shot that Marcus Paige hit was incredible.
