I was just wondering if there is anyway to convert clips that are in foreign languages, if someone knows how to do this please help.

Thanks

The only way to "convert" a foreign clip is dubbing - but it definitely takes away any shred of spontaneity from it.

With dubbing you get ONLY fake laughing - and it wouldn't be economically viable.

An alternative are subtitles - less timeconsuming, and you could make your own with a translation at hand.

They take away from the action, though, since you are focused on reading instead of watching.

Learning a foreign language is what most european do in an anglocentric world... but I bet it is out of question for most of you. 😉 😉 😉

Lastly, asking the original poster [or a native speaker] to write down a translation - and refer to it prior to vision could be a viable compromise.

English is not so hard to learn hopefully :snob: 😀 🙂.......if you really like foreign languages it's less painful to learn 🙄 - some hate it - but it's quite useful though.
I think one of the best learning methode is - of course if u can speak with someone in that particular language is better - watching movies in original version. Some languages are very soundy so it's really great - and it's better if the movies are cool too. A kind of learntertainement :weird:

Playing original-language games - with english voices and full dialogues - really boosted my comprehension.

Personally I'll choose original english versions over italian translated anytime - besides game subbers are generally quite poor [with ONE notable exception: Max Payne 1 in italian is actually better than original version].

On the other hand Italian tv subbers are top notch - BUT dialogue adaptation is still a pain in the arse [and most puns get lost in translation...]

So... really, wouldn't you, steve, settle for subtitles, instead? 😀
