could someone please explain the end to me?

ok i'm talking about the Blair Witch Project..i know it's fake..and god what acting..i really couldn't stand that girl..but walking my three miles just now in the park...which has trees abounding, reminded me of the ending..ok she is running hysterically thru that old run down house type thingie..and in her camera we see what i assume is the first missing guy, standing over against a wall..she cries out to him and then bam...she goes down...why was that guy standing there? was he alive? dead? zombish? am i making too much out of this? i hate endings that don't conclude damn it..

That wasn't the first missing guy, that was the guy she was with when they entered the house.

A lot of people didn't get the ending until they were reminded what they were told earlier in the movie. Remember the story about the child killer Rustin Parr, how he would abduct two kids at a time, take them into his basement, then make one of them stand facing a wall while he killed the other one? :dead:

ah thank you and no i don't remember that story lol..thanks for clearing it up..ahh gesh and i yell at my hubby for not paying attention to details in a movie lol..

Like I said, a lot of people didn't get it and hated the movie as a result. Those who did get it right away thought it was great, sort of like figuring out that Norman Bates was really his "mother" before seeing the end of Psycho for the first time. TBWP was one very long set-up from the "boring" interview stuff to the finale. They could have reduced it to two main characters but that would've cut down on the length too much. Still, not bad for such a low-budget movie.

gotta love confusing movies. I friggin love Donnie Darko, but i'm still wondering about the ending and how everything fits together. guess that's what imagination is for.

You're a darn sight better off then me. I didn't understand that friggin movie at all. Frankly, it drove me nuts what with the filming style. And ok, is this true? Did they really just give those kids a camera and have them ad-lib the whole thing?

^ god sure sounded that way to me...i could have slugged that girl myself so many times..and i'm non violent..it wouldn't surprise me to hear it was ad libbed..and very badly ad libbed i might add..well

i didn't hate the movie cuz of the ending..i hated it cuz of her..lol..
