Couple of Photoshopped Images (Love Hina)

I did these recently because I was bored, and I wasn't originally going to post them, but then I thought "if everybody thought like that, we'd have no tickling pictures at all".

Firstly, I'd like to point out that I doctored these using images drawn by Kahoshiden and Cheshire Cat, and if either disapproves, I'll be happy to take them down.

Also, I'm very inexperienced when it comes to photoshop, just to let you know.

Feel free to criticise the hell outta me.


1. This is from CC's haloween picture. It took a long time to do. Pictures of Amalla are hard to come by as it is, and when was the last time you saw a picture of Haruka laughing?

2. Shoddy as you like, but it was my first attempt, so meh. This is from Kahoshiden's Street Fighter picture.

great pics, but i surely hope you got kashodin and CC's permission before you did these, if not, that's a big no no. not to mention you really don't wanna invoke CC's wrath when he's trying to get sober.

i now notice you didn't get their permission. this thread and it's pics will get deleted i can assure you of this. it's serious that you need to have permission to do this. once, i just simply posted some of Vlad's work. and boy did i get a mouth full. like 40 posts and a novel load of words.

You fail to mention however that you and a certain banned person were playing a joke on me and you were pretending to be drunk, stupid, and insulting, and the circumstances warranted my and the mod's attention to that degree.

Other than that, its not a very fair explaination for how things go. I've always stated to people that its ok to post my work, only that they give credit to me for it (I'd also prefer knowing where they posted/used it. Afterall, if they're interested enough to be distributing my art, they shouldn't mind telling me that they have or will). And I do this just as much for the sake of newbies who would want to know who drew the picture and where they could find more art from that person. And as always, when someone doesn't know who the work belongs to, but someone else does, its just a common courtesy to point people in the right direction. I believe its something all people should try and do, because it creates awareness.

Theres nothing unreasonable or heavy-handed about that. Its a good thing, and you know it, so stop bringing up old shit. 😛

All other circumstances have been discussions, and were acnknowledged as such. A person can't very well talk to themself. And as discussions go, 40 posts is nothing.

Don't exagerate things Norm unless you're willing to implicate yourself in the process. Thanks.

Don't want to sound harsh - I rarely post art-related remarks - but I don't think anybody is going to confuse those pics with the original art. 😉

Creating fakes from somebody's art is quite tough, I reckon.

I don't think theres anyway one COULD confuse those fakes (which are nice by the way, good job Senshi) for the real deal authentic ones.

But yet again, this is why I've said and I continue to say that people should give credit. So that when people who DON'T know who CC is for example or are newbs will know whats what and will be able to tell the difference later between fanart for CC, fakes for CC, and reposts of CC's work.

While Senshi did give credit, its looking like thats not the issue here, if its even an issue at all. I wouldn't think so, at least not any longer since CC seems to be going along with it, even if its after the fact.

Never mind the petty arguments. I want to know why Photoshop is so popular. I don't have it. I have Jasc instead but, I mostly use MS Paint because I'm too impatient to learn how to use anything else. Is Jasc any where near as good as PS and if it's better I would like to know.

Photoshop is the most common digital program these days, probably because its versital. I myself prefer to use Painter, because its more about art, drawing, sketching, painting, etc. than Photoshop is, and has several features that Photoshop does not. That, and its cheaper.

Still though, because it covers most bases, Photoshop has just become the household and professional choice for alot of people. Its considered the industry standard with Painter as a tie or close second.

I think it just gets alot more attention and acclaim than other similar programs which are just as good or better (like Painter in my opinion as an artist). People down at ILM (Industrial Lights & Magic) and LucasArts for example use and have used Painter as their digital program of choice, rather than Photoshop, for their professional work.

Before I had Painter, I have/use Jasc Paintshop Pro 7. But I really don't use it much now except for simple things that I want to add really quick without having to change my settings or go through the many options/tools Painter has just to get what I want.

I haven't really used Painter itself yet for a completed work of mine, but I know that it delivers in every way that it needs to.

Any of the Jasc Paintshop programs are nice if what you're doing is simple, like creating fakes like this.

that drunky thing was a total separate thing from the posting of your material. but i brought that up, simply to state, most artists don't like people editing their work without permission. so let's not dwell on the past, vlad, and argue on who's right, wrong, cause i'd lose. i'm just too lazy to type as much as you. but end of that discussion, so let's zip it. now for this current matter...

i think kalamos has a point, no one's gonna get em confused. but that's still no excuse to edit them without permission, no matter how well they turn out.

I see it as being thorough and articulate. Long-winded implies that its too much to handle, and thats more laziness on the part of the would-be reader than anything I'm doing (and its either their fault or the internet's fault for conditioning them to only recieve small ammounts of information/words at a time because they have some expectation that things should be ideally how they want them). Maybe I just have a higher threshold of tolerance when it comes to reading. But then of course this is the internet, so we must all perpetuate the stereotype that everything must be short, chatty, meaningless, empty, undedicated, and rushed. 😛

Yeah, I'd say thats a thorough appraisal. No wait...its long-winded because oh MA'H gawd, its nearly a paragraph! QUICK! RUN! SAVE YOURSELF! 😛
