Hi All! I have been looking for a new hobby as of late. It needs to be something in the creative line and would be good if it doesn't cost much, also I was thinking it would be great if I could sell the finished project when I'm done.

Now, before you say it, I'm not good at writing or drawing [I have been known to dabble in both, but not good with ether]

I've looked on the net, but so far seen nothing that interests me.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have always thought making miniature dungeons or castles out of rocks and pebbles would be pretty cool. Maybe out of shells also.

That DIY Lamps sounds fun, but I was wondering what's involved in it? I mean do you buy kits? or just look for old lamps?

We did fiberglass pendant light before... but that won't be practical because doing with fiberglass needs training. But if you like, why not?

I just googled now and I even read one about a toilet plunger turned into a lamp! 😱
As long as the bulb is well-ventilated, then you're fine. You can use warm led light.

Try to google now and see inspiration. There are tons of ideas.

Actually, no I haven't, sadly I've not had use for them yet.
Wouldn't it be better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them?

But seriously, if you're into carpentry, it's a labor of love. I'm currently making my second set! Came up with some improvements from the first ones.

I wish I could do something like origami, but, even as a kid, I couldn't even make a paper airplane right [it would turn out one wing would be longer than the other].

It did make for some interesting flights tho

I do like carpentry [love working with my hands], but I don't have a lot a room to work on the big stuff, best I could do would be a miniature toy version made from pop sickle sticks.

and, That would be only if I could get my hot glue gun to work [I bought one last year, but it never did work]

Heh, it does take a steady hand and an eye for symmetry, at that.
Gotta love airplanes that only make left turns, though! It's like NASCAR--in the sky! XD

Yeah, they would either only cork screw down, or go into a nosedive.

How about photography? You probably already have a smartphone, which can probably do as much as a typical point-and-shoot.

You could learn magic, you can do loads of tricks with cards or coins and making up stories to go with your routines is pretty creative and cheap. 🙂

Or how about learning a musical instrument? What kind of music do you like? Maybe you could get into a band, most music shops have notice boards where people put notices looking for band members. Thats kind of creative and you cuold probably get an instrument cheap second hand.

If you want something with less interaction with other people then how about gardening? You could go down the making pretty flower display route or the more practical growing your own fruit & veggies route or maybe even both? If you already have a garden this one is almost free.

Reply to Kopf-Actually, I don't have a smart phone [not even a cell], I'm a bit of a homebody.

Reply to UK- I thought about gardening [well, food type of gardening], but it takes so much money to get started [what with the manure, Fertilizer and all].

I mean I could go organic, but don't know if that would sell around here.

and, flowers are out too, I have bad allergies.
