Creepy Mainsream Tickling Scenes

I was channel-surfing on teevee a week ago and stumbled onto a show on The Disney Channel in the 11A.M. timeslot called "The Wiggles". It features these four way too happy guys in black pants and shirts similar to the original "Star Trek" crew uniforms, dancing around and acting like tee-total idiots. Anyway, another character on the show is a pirate called Capt. Feathersword who, sure `nuff, goes around tickling the guys every chance he gets. Plenty weird...

Hard to say why I found it so creepy, Ticklehunter. Have you had a chance to see the show, yet?
It may be a hold-over from my youth, when I absolutely dispised and feared getting tickled. The way this show presents it(or at least the episode that I caught), it's a fun way to resolve conflicts(which, granted, it can be at times). It can also be cruel punishment, which some children watching the show might not pick-up on and, after viewing, run out and pester friends.

Very interesting hypothesis. I have seen the show and eagerly await an episode where the Captain tickles their feet.
I had NO problems with these show when I was a youth, however I do understand your aversion.

Apparently the dudes sword made of a feather is a orderable toy at various places around the net....check it out..lol...might be a good toy for those with active imaginations. 🙂

Thanks for the tip on the sword, Prime. Reckon I'll pass, tho'. Here's an idea I always thought would be kinda nifty: Has anyone ever tried to assemble a pair of gloves like Freddy's from the Nightmare On Elmstreet movies, `cept with feather or brushes instead of razors?
